First I'm pretty sure this has been answered several times, but as I'm new I hope somebody will explain it to me. I just bought the crew and its open world racing and sandbox styles with the customization are awesome. However, I am still getting a little confused with the Car tuner kits we can purchase after completing certain missions. As we progress we can purchase Dirt, raid, perf, etc. but how can do we upgrade to the level 2 kits and so on ? I leveled to 30 before taking my first Dirt tuner kit ? and I saw the level 2 offered at 30 I think ? At least I'm pretty sure I saw it.. but when I go back to the Dirt tuner shop level 10 for example around new york ? it wont offer it too me. Am I not progressed enough to get the higher tuner upgrades ? or am I missing something ?
You cannot tune a car with a lvl20+ kit when you already put a lvl10 kit to it.
Once a car has kit equipped you can only use skill tests and missions to gain new parts.
A fresh car however can be quipped with a kit you like (10-40).
Given this mechanic it seems to be better to make it to level 50 and complete the story with as few cars as possible. On the other hand once you are 50 and have an all-platinum equip on a car you can purchase them for the same spec at the spec tuner, ranging from 8k$ to ~40k$ per part (spec wise). So either you put a bit effort in your favorite car while leveling and save a bit money for the moment you hit 50, or you empty your purse on lvl20,30,40 and 50 to buy a new car, unlock the desired spec and put the highest spec-kit to it.
EDIT
Of course you could also buy a new car at level 30 or 40, put the level XY-kit in it and purchase the single parts for the car you want them to have at the Tuning shop.
It doesn't matter what level you purchase, all cars when given platinum parts perform similar. Level 10-20-30-40 are just basically starter kits.
I personally purchase street in 10, dirt in 20 etc to save money, as car level doesn't effect it's performance enough to truly help you get platinum 40-50.
Hi, you seem to know your stuff so maybe you can explain, im a bit confused...Originally Posted by moreWoes Go to original post
i bought the crew wild run and am currenty trying to upgrade my drag spec car..
i started with level 1 kit, so all bronze parts level 1.. then realized that my times where getting slower
when i instaled other parts maybe gold or silver or maybe from different level.
im currently level 28 and the parts i try to install are between 1 and 10
so my question is, what is the point? or what is better for your car performance?
to have all parts of the same material? or all same level? same material with different (highest posible level)?or different matirial and highest posible level? or different matirial with alll same level? i know it sounds a bit confusing i hpe you understand what i mean.
i realized my times got a bit back to normal when i changed the parts all to the same level and same material, or same level but different material but still im trying to understand how it works and what would be optimal for car performance.
hope you can help. thnks
