i7 Hyperthreading and graphic issues. DISABLE IN BIOS.

The clue was in the specifications; i5.

At the risk of repeating what someone else may already have promulgated-apologies if that is the case.

I use an i7 for gaming and noted some issues on graphics that were NOT resolved with lowering graphic settings on a good Nvidia card.

To cut to the quick after a little personally qualified study and net research and actual tests on several i7s today and my own PC with memory stripped out to various configurations and sata swapped for ssds and back to fully appraise. (on several PCs)

TURN OFF HYPER THREADING IN BIOS and try the game that way. It cured all my issues and my research suggests there is otherwise an issue with hyperthread and L3 cache in particular.

If it doesn't help then keep as is or switch back.

Bios is usually by hitting F8 or Del key on boot and usually flags on boot up screen somewhere.

Hope this helps some of you guys out there..

By the way; some gripes at the rigidity of the game play and my being unable to play co-ops with friends but otherwise I just love this game; 10 times better than FC3 in many ways...MP will probably remain with the cheats as far as I am concerned.

i did find this worked, but i was told yesterday to assign the Nvidia Physics to the CPU instead of the GFX card, this has been the biggest help for removing the stutter. i tried it with hyper threading on and off which didnt have any extra benefit. But Physics on cpu made more of a benefit to me than hyper threading.. hope it helps for u.
I am now finally playing the game as it should be played in maxed gfx (apart from AA)
