How come the "destructible" doors are NOT destructible? I want to create a building that has enemies holding up hostages. So I need destructible doors to keep these enemies inside the building and the only way would be to break down those doors to get in.
The ones that are named "destructible" do not break down even with bombs. I could only find the red fence that does that but it's too big AND it doesn't totally destruct.
That's another conversion mistake/bug that was made when they rushed the editor out.
Right now the only destructible anything is the closed cage. And I beleive nothing AI will come out of it, because your navmesh is baked by the time the doors are there, breaking the connection between the cage and outside world.
Really? Because it works for me. I have a caged bear in my map 'Terror Island (v.2)' and the bear will come out once you shoot the cage.Originally Posted by Kantham Go to original post
I have read a few post on this problem people are getting. I think it might just be that the animal is not put into the cage properly and is "fused" with the cage.
I don't know... I've done a couple maps with caged animals and never had a problem of the animal not coming out.
The Fortress Door degrades after several grenades and you can then walk through - or 1 hit from a bigger weapon will blow the hole open but this is nothing like the fortress doors in the single player game - that is what I would hope they eventually give us as you can wreck them with an elephant or vehicle.
Svermette what platform are you on and is your map Published ?
I have had issues with the animals and cages, they worked fine until I published the map then it appears that the tiny section of door that falls to the ground breaks up the Nav Mesh blocking the animal from coming out from the cage - it would be great if I did something wrong and there was a way around this.
Yup it's published. It's for the PS4 and called Terror Island (v.2)Originally Posted by FALLEN CHAMP Go to original post
If you can give it a try and let me know if the cage with the bear works once published.
