[BUG] A small, but deadly, graphical glitch

Earlier today I was staking out an outpost when I accidentally discovered a small, innocent-looking square hole in the ground.
Doing what I assume anyone would do in my situation, I went about poking it with a stick... or in my case, throwing rocks at it to see what would happen.

I thought this was just a simple bit of texture that failed to load... but the rocks I threw at it didn't bounce off of an invisible collision barrier that I assumed was there!
No, instead, they would bounce off the grass near it and fall straight into the hole, never to be seen again... ever.
Curiosity getting the better of me, I lured a two hungry tigers near it with bait... and while they didn't actually fall through, they were insta-killed the moment they stepped in (or over) it!

Screenshots* are linked below, along with the location... but I don't recommend visiting it!
It may be even more dangerous now that it has a taste for blood.

Maybe it's the gateway to Narnia?

    I found a similar bug:

    Spoiler:  Show
There's an underground room, near a point of interest/house at a cliff edge, when you go down you can see through the mountain. You collect lots of weapons there but I can't remember exactly where it is on the Map, I might have been near one of the animal skinning missions (white Tiger)

If you lure Justin Bieber into it; I'll pay you. .)

So what do you think happens if you step into it?

You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!

Cool. It's like that old saying "Stick it where the sun doesn't shine".

I used to have the Terminator Dawn Of Fate game on PS2 and I found in one scene where you had to destroy an H-K on a mound of rubble you could actually climb up the H-K and get "behind" the game world ! It was like a Yogi and Reggie mission, all sorts of weird shapes and colours.
