I kept falling to my death at one of these bell tower long jumps until someone clued me in to what I was doing wrong. Making these jumps requires careful button pushing. Don't start with the run button pressed. First press Walk, then Run, then when you get to the edge, Jump. The Walk and Run must be done in sequence, NOT at the same time. I'm not sure if holding down the jump button is required. I think I naturally do that anyway. You'll be surprised how far you can jump.

The speed of sprinting stays the same.

You said "people that don't hold down the jump key", it could mean everyone who did that. You were also not specific to point out the thread.
And you like being a pretend know it all wannabe, which causes said arguments.

Far Cry since the very first game has had lighter weaps yielding faster movement. You play on PS4 from the looks of it though, I don't play on the kiddie platforms.

I have noticed some inconsistencies though when you went all know it all in another thread about The Rakshasa though. On your video on PS4 it's not spelled correctly, on PC it is.

I also noticed how you dropped out of the argument when I presented valid reasons why Rakshasa isn't proven to be the name of the boss bird at the end, nor should it be given what it means.

"The Rakshasa" is also the name of the very first Shangri-La mission, where there isn't even a confrontation with the bird. Like I said, the Rakshasa are made up of several demons that can take many forms. You can choose to educate yourself and stop acting like a net troll that knows more than he does, or continue to troll mindlessly, your choice. I think I know what the decision will be though, based on your behavior and attitude. You sound all of 12 years old sometimes.

Nope. I don't pretend at all, and being a know it all wannabe? I tested your claims, so I could find out whether or not you're right. I found out that you're wrong.

No, I did not play on the PlayStation 4. The first platform I have ever played on is the PC, and I have been playing since the 90's. "Kiddie platforms" would be most specific towards the Wii U, but even that system has rated M games. Considering whatever system one plays doesn't necessarily make it a kiddie platform, especially if M rated games dominates the market. It could easily be a typo written by the developers. Also, remember, it's the developers who wrote that. That's like telling Ajay Ghale that he pronounces his own name wrong, but he can pronounce his own name whatever he wants, because it's his name. You might as well tell the Ubisoft developers that they spelled it wrong, even though they programmed it that way. I did notice that.

Again, I did not play on the PlayStation 4. You can't even distinguish which console is which based on button prompts: A, B, X, Y and Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle. Dropped out of the argument? Just because I didn't reply? I could say the same that you "dropped out" when I told you to go away in one of my topics. In which you did go away, which I am glad.

Now you're off topic in this topic now. The "Rakshasa", or Raskhasa, I didn't come up with that name with the specific spelling, it was written by the developers. You love being off topic, and you love it when you are dragging me off topic. Honestly, what does Rakshasa and Shangri-La have ANYTHING to do with climbing a bell tower? It is proven that the final boss in Shangri-La is called "Rakshasa", if you bothered to read the subtitles said by Kalinag, lost letters by Robert, and so on. The faction is Rakshasa. That's also the name for the final boss.

The name of a level doesn't even have to show the final boss, that is irrelevant. You're the troll here, judging the way you write in my topic. So, to you I sound 12 years old, yet you name call, accusing me things, you're trying to make it seem like I'm self centered, which I'm not. "Magical get your wish genie", "no one cares", "over reacted", "wall of text", "vague BS excuse", and yet you think I sound like a 12 year old. You claim that you are 57, but in my opinion, you certainly don't act as if you are in your final years of a middle aged person.

Lastly, according to Steam, I have 155 games. I also have a Battle.net account with Blizzard titles. It also doesn't include all of the physical copies I have on the PC.

Just take a look at this quote, if you're going to bother reading.

I can see that Wish List thread went to your head, big time. While you're at it why don't you start wishing for better optimization on the next game, and we'll see if you're really a magical get your wish genie once and for all. LOL

Jeez KrAzY, gonna start calling you CrayCray, because you don't even know when you're sounding stuffy anymore. He made a point just as valid as any of yours, and in fact related to one of yours, but you discounted it with some vague BS excuse. So naturally you come off sounding like only your points are worth posting. He responded that way to it as well, and I understand why.

The bottom line is, valid points don't and shouldn't need excusing, if it weren't for a picky OP. You got a bit head strong with that Wish List thread I think, and now you seem to think any thread you make has to have posts that pass your approval. Get over yourself already.

Since Far Cry 3 you only had to land on a ledge, like the ones with ropes laying around. There is no need to hold any button after the initial jump, so long as you land where you should, he will grab the ledge automatically. This is my favorite game franchise next to GTA and have spent countless hundreds of hours on Rook Island and in Kyrat. As a matter of fact, I'm playing 4 right now lol. As far as the run speed, hold a pistol and switch to an LMG or heavy sniper and back WHILE running the whole time. I see very little difference in the run speed, if any at all. I guess my point is, don't talk about things like you know, just to be proven wrong and made to look a fool arguing over false statements. JS...

karateron............as others have stated, you have to master the RunJump, which will necessary in other parts of the game as well.

However, if your computer is as bad as mine, you have to make some adjustments. With my slow processing speed, I have a slight lag between key-pushing and action on the screen. To adjust, try this....don't look at the screen ! Waiting for visual cues results in late key strokes. Instead, line up your jump, positioned a meter behind the edge, aiming at top of rope ahead. Then, without looking at screen, hit the Walk and Run keys simultaneously, then in the next INSTANT, hit the Jump key.

That should do it. Some friends who have much better equipment have found this technique useful, too.

    Good luck.
