Same issue here. Started on Dec 11 or 12. Maybe Dec 10. Not sure which day, but it has not worked since. It allows me log in, then says it cannot synchronize, and asks me to login again. I know that the login is working because if I put in the wrong password, it tells me that the password is wrong.
Another strange thing is that if the PS4 game is running, it says on my TV that it the companion app has synchronized, but the app says that it hasn't.
At the very least Ubisoft should acknowledge that they are aware of the issue and are looking into it. I can reproduce this 100% of the time.
Same problem here, it's really ridicoulous that there's no trace of information from UBI about the issue. Never seen a wrost customer care.
I tried (Android app) to kill the process and/or reboot phone, but the result is the same.
As a note, the problem alternates between "Cannot Sync" and "UPlay not available" trying to login, then the app suggests you to play offline... AHAHAHAH so usefull to play offline!
And they delayed the patch 4 on the game telling that "Rigorous quality control is of paramount importance to us". I'm laughing...
This game, the app, the acinitiates website represent the total opposite of this sentence.
I'm glad it's not just me that thinks the time the app has been not working is a joke then, I try logging in couple times a day to get unable to connect to ubi soft n think yes maybe they trying to fix it, try later and cannot synch and think nah it's still messin with me, total joke as without the app u cannot open every chest in Paris for the trophy which is a joke just the same as initiates.
The thing that bugs me most is that this actually affects the most hard-core fans to the Assassin's Creed Franchise.
The companion app is a piece of garbage, that much everybody figures. But those of us who want to 100% the game and who are actually forced to "play" this horrid experience are effectively hindered to get our reward.
Bugs and such can happen, everyone's only human. But to so thoroughly put up so many fail-barriers for hardcore-fans is a much larger shame, because it's at a conceptual level, not a technical one.
I wonder who ever worked out that idea on how to effectively annoy their biggest fans the most. Seriously, Ubisoft. Think about this.
