I looked within the GamerProfile.ini (and turned off the crouch indicator which was always defaulting back on) but couldn't find anything for the situational prompts, which are the source of my complaints. I don't need reminders for what keys to press to switch arrows or open a car door or adjust my zoom while looking through a scope. That's all clutter. It's ugly and unnecessary at best and insulting at worst. Not to mention that in one case (the glider) the wingsuit prompt is actually animated, remains on screen for the duration of the trip and, once again, is eye catching, ugly and completely unnecessary.
Yeah I completely agree and am right there with you on screen cluttering prompts, esp the stay onscreen ones. It's one of the worst things about Autodrive too.

One can only hope the next iteration will allow even more HUD disabling, but onscreen prompts in general are a video game norm , so I'm not counting on it.

The worst offenders by far for me are racing games that plaster text in the middle of the screen blocking your view while trying to make critical navigation decisions at well over 100 MPH.

It's baffling that video game tester is even an occupation, because there's SO many examples of ridiculous oversights that they might as well be using monkeys. "Hey buddy, I'll give you a banana if you play this game!"
