I was looking for a post i can't seem to find about the amount of content redlynx released since the launch of EVO, which implied a lack of funding from the suits, that post ringed true to me and would explain the lack of progress for fusion to frontier
i have played fusion more than any other trials title on 360, my first trials game was HD.
the review...
Theme - i don't like it, as a DLC, ok but not as the main game(where's my hover bike)
Challenges- i agree about needing their own skill game section but again i don't like it as a feature, instead of building good tracks they are trying to find clever ways to add challenges, then tell us that 1 track is now worth 3...
tracks- i like tracks more than i like challenges, on the base game i think a good few tracks wouldn't make the uplay picks. but as is clear now, they were pushed to release a game.
Story line - i don't know the story line for fusion... the bad lines being repeated when i restarted got old .... so i killed them
whoever i think if redlynx want to tell a story they could do so through cut scene CGI.. the voice over was more distracting than immersive.
Teams- i think could be good to encourage competition within similar skill range.. the hard part being filling a team of those at your level.
I think possibly a football style division system would have worked better in practice than the team system.
I still like the team feature but maybe im bitter that my team has about 7 members
MP- As said redlynx were clearly pushed for a release but still a port of evo multiplayer should have been standard.
I didnt play evo as much as i played fusion but i did enjoy the MP games i had there.. really should have been here from the off
Track central- didn't use it much on evo, i can't comment on this.
tournaments- new tourneys are crap, was such a pain in the arse to plat the old ones lol, i think maybe they tried too hard to satisfy the old pro's with this because for me it just dosen't work.
Leaderboard- Are broke to hell... but if LB functioned properly i'm not to bothered how they structure it , so long as it works properly.
all tracks have single player leader board and DLC dosn't affect that (I'm not good enough to have a true opinion on LBs)....... my global score is most likely inflated because of DLC, whoever i played the tracks so ..... honestly don't care how they stack the board so long as it is true.
Customization- Disappointing would be an understatement, and again the evidence of being pushed to release(same as MP a basic setup EVO had should have been the starting point)
FMX- besides the great laughs i had at my rider trying to regain position, i hated it.. until the abyss DLC (liked the track and seen the potential of it)
its still feels bugged and unfinished but i think it could work as a stand alone title, it does not fit into trials but i think could work as its own game, with more time and effort.
Conclusion- Finally ... i spent more time on this post than i wanted to...
i remember buying a 360 on release but i don't remember any of the games i had, early release on the "next gen" are usually crap.
i will treat this game as the BETA that it feels like and hope the next trials title has found its feet
Edit- ^^^^ funktastic style post
TLDR- kick the suits in the balls and tell them, "trials cannot be rushed"![]()
I totally agree with customization! The Rabbit needs a frame with bunny ear handlebars and fluffy tail exhaust, and I expect my Panda to resemble World of Warcraft!
The good: It's really cool & tough looking, feels much more impressive pulling off stunts!Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
The bad: No custom frames, not even sponsor logos. Driving up a platform edge like it's got tank treads.
The ugly: It's just a regular bike with models thrown onto the sides. Place 2 inclined rails under the wheels & see what happens to the 'suspension'. We shouldn't need to Joint new wheels on to keep that thing upright. :/
what im wondering about is: Can trials fusion be improved?
We was told (before) fusion was released: This trials game is gonna be the best trials game ever.
At the release date, all trials fans and newcomers didnt even hesitate to buy trials fusion.
Fusion was streamed on twitch big time...i even had to scroll down more then 10 times
We had a few bugs/glitches and over the past months, we got them fixed and improved. (we stil got some minor bugs, but im sure it wil be fixed)
Fusion has gotten a lot of new features from day of release.
1: 3 DLC's
2: split drivelines
3: teams
4: tournaments
5: mail notification when a friend released a track
its quit a bit, but it seem that over time fusion is dying....
So wil the game be revived if multiplayer is added? (i personaly dont think so)
My idea to improve trials fusion is this:
Ad animated objects/humans/animals/monsters/ghosts in the editor.
Animated like the squirls/penguins (wich we dont have in the editor)
Ofcource people can make it by themselfs, but it would never look more real like the penguins or squirls do.
Adding animated things like that, gives fusion more life..(it takes hours to animate something i mentioned above)
Ad some new bikes - rider customisation
We got the beta multiplayer for fusion, and questions are started like: do we get single lane MP too?
And the answer was: we looking in to it
Wich means to me, a big oops (we forgot to ad single lane) lol
So far i think fusion is a brilliant game and im sure it wil be more awesome.
Only problem is that the improvement is taking too long (no offence)
Well we got those lovely tutorial videos for Evo but now players are instructed to view them rather than videos catered for Fusion. Coding's pretty samey, but directing new players to the older game for help seems counter-intuitive (right wording?). How about an optional DLC containing video tutorials?
Ahh yes, that was my post.. musing about the state of fusion and the nature of business. Was just trying to point out the glaring dichotomy of the incredible amount of work the full redlynx team can accomplish in a short period, if they devote their resources to it. Compared to the incredibly underwhelming amount of work that has been accomplished on fusion post launch.Originally Posted by ca1mcat Go to original post
Its common for a dev team to pull the majority of their resources away from a project post release. However, given that fusion was released incomplete... I think we wish they kept all their resources on the project until the game was actually finished as a show of good faith to the people that bought the game, even if they already got our money and there isnt a direct payoff for doing so.
I think its tough to make the case post launch support is being prioritized for fusion over at redlynx.

Anyhoo.. I've now bought Fusion AGAIN.. On Xbone.. I'm annoyed I had to pay again but kinda glad I did.. It plays ALOT better than the 360 version
Unfortunatley Reliance on UPLAY will still kill track central, online and MP...
