Should I send people fuel as well or just gold tickets?
If someone sends me fuel should I delete them or are there no disadvantages of me receiving fuel as well?

You must decide yourself whether you want to delete someone only because he makes you gifts.

Players with lower levels ran out of fuel very fast. They are certainly pleased for each fuel gift. And they can make good use of the 1000 coins reward also.

With the daily Prospector missions the fuel quickly running low also for the more advanced players. But these missions were unfortunately removed.Therefore receiving fuel for players with higher level isn't attractive any more (personally, I am always happy when I get the 1000 coins reward).

For the Giftbox two limitations are good to know: There is a daily limit (10) for receiving gift items and a dynamic queue (10 down to 3) for each item category.
The queue size depends on your stack of collected items. If you already collected hundreds of golden tickets your queue size will be reduced to 3 elements.
This means that when your friends send you e.g. 5 tickets (without picking them up), then 2 of them are discarded/lost. Therefore switching on the Giftbox notification is a good way to maximize your ticket stack.

So I can only receive 10 gifts every day, regardless of if they are fuel or golden tickets?

If that's so I would prefer the golden tickets as I'm in no rush for fuel, I just need more money which the golden tickets would help me with

You're able to receive max 10 GT/day. Fuel doesn't count into that amount. You can receive 10 of it either. Just stack for GT is 3, for fuel 10, so if you want to collect all 10 GT, you have to log in more often.

Don't be afraid of fuel Additional fuel is very good at the start, 'cause a tank is tiny and runs out in a few minutes also you get 1000 coins if you take gift within an hour

Fuel it's just advantages, don't delete friends for gifting it, it's cruel
