    cant progress past Rebel Yell

I am playing Far Cry 4 " Campaign " on my PC and have finished " Rebel Yell " but I cannot advance to the next Mission. I just seem to be wandering aimlessly on the map , liberating Bell Towers and shooting lot's of baddies and helping out some goodies.
I am Playing " off line " as I believe there is a problem with the " cloud " thingy saving games.
Any suggestions of how I can advance in the missions ?

You finished going to the upper camp too? there is the lower base camp and then the upper camp.
At that point I fly around and liberate a bunch of towers to get the m79 grenade launcher, etc.

The next mission to do is then going to be: the following is from my game save files:

    5. After you take the fort you accept Sabal or Amitas mission and this is accepting Sabals mission to protect the Golden Path base camp (Rebel Yell mission) from attacking hunters and then the spot above that camp which is a good spot to toss out bait afterwards and collect clouded leopards. I also got on the copter and liberated 9 towers and got the m79 grenade launcher and a ton of other weapons. Plus got a few Masks of Yalung. This has been done.
    6. The next Sabal mission is to protect the Monastery (A Cultural Exchange mission) and then after its off to find "L" longiness and do his Hymalaya (Sermon on the Mount) mission where you can get a few Snow Leopards and ride a snow mobile to have used all the vehicles if you wish because you will not be able to find another oppertunity to ride a snowmobile. There is also a dune buggy at Longiness's camp so get in it and drive a few feet to have done that vehicle. At this point no forts have been taken other than the mandatory first one. And of course no side missions that occur at the forts are done either. this has been done. At this point this game is 3 hours and 47 minutes completed and Sermon on the Mount is done

Thanks AndyJackson2012 . I can now play the missions . It was really frustrating me not being able to do anything but wander around.
I guess that being 73 years old is a small excuse for not knowing much about how these games work so thanks again.

Jeez, first a 63 year old the other day (Sgt something), now a 73 year old? I guess at 57 I'm a youngster compared to you guys.

Welcome to the Geezer Gamer's club, 40 something players need not apply. LOL

Going through the same problem. Have spent hours trawling around the South and not one mission to progress.
Getting tired of discovering and killing the occasional bad guy.

I hear ya. On far cry 3 they always had the next mission listed in the upper left of the screen and had a yellow dot on the main map showing where you had to go to start the mission and it would automaticly start once you stood on the right spot. In addition you had to do it once it started there was no backing out.

Here in FC4 they dont list the next missions and sometimes they dont have any on screen. So...it can be very confusing.

But, if you want help state where you are in the game. As in what is the last mission you did? It will tell you when you open the game up on the part with the winking elephant. It will state how many hours and minutes into the game you are, what level of completion your at and it will have a mission listed, like Rebel Yell, A Culteral Exchange, or whatever. That will be the last mission you completed.

I can list ut the general progression of things from my save game files this way:

game save files starting at the beginning of the game and include what happened in the description if you wanted to do the described mission load the previous saved game files. This is follwing Sabals missions FYI:
    1. prologue and Banapur entrance so you've seen Pagan crashed the car, gone up the river and fought at the first tower and collected money and skins and loading this will put you in Banapur at the start.
    2. The Amita save Annan's home from wolves first mission and the Sabal climb the first bell tower mission has been done.
    3. See Longiness "L" and immediately following that you are summoned back to Banapur and have to save Bhadra. This is called "Return to Sender" mission has been done.
    4. After saving Bhadra you are sent to save the Hostages and following that you attack your first fort where the elephant is and the Buzzer gyrocopter is. this has been done.
    6. The next Sabal mission is to protect the Monastery (A Cultural Exchange mission) and then after its off to find "L" longiness and do his Himalaya (Sermon on the Mount) mission where you can get a few Snow Leopards and ride a snow mobile to have used all the vehicles if you wish because you will not be able to find another opportunity to ride a snowmobile. There is also a dune buggy at Longiness's camp so get in it and drive a few feet to have done that vehicle. At this point no forts have been taken other than the mandatory first one. And of course no side missions that occur at the forts are done either. this has been done. At this point this game is 3 hours and 47 minutes completed and Sermon on the Mount is done. The sermon on the mount does not count as a Longiness mission so your progress menu is not glitched.
    7. The next Sabal Mission is Burn It Down the Kyra Tea Factory opium field destruction mission and also the Bhadra mission see the cremated. Longiness mission and Yogi mission is available but not done. you wont get the Yogi mission UNLESS you see Bhadra and she tells you to see the Ghale family home.
8.. The next mission is Yogi or Longiness and you'll go to the Shanath arena to fight if you do the Y. Longiness mission is to recover the Blood diamonds from the guards. That L mission wasn't done.
    9. The next mission is for Amita and in the south Sleeping Saints demolition of the Giant stone saints. Good place to toss bait out and get a snow leopard on the top after eveyone is dead. I also did the City of Pain kidnap Paul DePluer misison for Noor you get at Shanath.
    10. Basic Chemistry mission destroying the brick factory (tall smoke stack) for its drug storage (a golden patth Sabal mission), then off to see Noor, and then side missions hunting, ect. available at Shanath arena.

After this you get a W (Willis Huntley) set of missions that must be completed before getting the "key to the north" mission from Amita to clear the Kings brige and be able to to into the north.

    Progress so far = 46.84% ~ 50H 25M ~ Last mission done = Don't Look Down.
Done all the missions you've listed including the Willis missions.

Out of the 50+H of play, most of that has been circling in the buzzar looking for something to do

After finishing the Willis mission and Durgesh prision mission you should get an A mission at Shanath arena to start the Key to the North mission and when finished you'll have access to North Kyrat. I've noticed that sometimes I can't find a mission on the main maip but the mini map shows a letter and the general direction the letter is in and that helps.

Your files may have gotten corrupted , you could try and verify them on UPLAY go here:

how to verify game files from UPLAY, sometimes that staightens out glitchs. Or I could send you my game files and you could copy and paste them into your game files and you'd be in my game at that point. No forts taken

Never had a problem with mission progression in Far Cry 4, and I personally like how it's more open world and player choice. Yes, you have to scan the map carefully for mission icons and sometimes participate in certain things to make them appear, but they DO show up.
