I'm at 281 chips. It's taking 8 minute to generate 1 chip, so I'm going to revise my original one from 400-500 chips with no ping-pong to 300-400 chips.
can some of you please check your friends incoming requests....
Yeah, I agree, there is not yet enough statistics to evaluate how profitable exactly each strategy is.Originally Posted by xitooner Go to original post
I'll try to time the replenishing rates in different points of time to guess the formula and tell what is the theoretical maximum you'll get from winning once vs. constant ping-pong every 30 minutes.
you will never know which option (win once or ping pong) it will be
unless you look your opponent up on uplay, add them, text them and agree on course of actions
however they may not be up to speed with you in terms of bikes and skill
i have currently 6 showdowns open and only 1 opponent has given me slight fight. one didn't even ride any of the tracks once
If you have a great bike, you can "play" smart with your prey. Win your opponent barely each time, giving him a chance to win you in every map again and again. Then at the end "jump" at him and kill him violently! :-)Originally Posted by bunnyhop90 Go to original post
Edit: You might want to win him as soon as he takes the leadership, though, lest he steals much of your chips.
It's quite unfair that Android always has to wait what seems like weeks after everyone else gets the update. I guess I'll just bang the slot machine as usual.
on the bright side android players should be able to hit the ground running more efficiently after seeing how the ios guys beta test the new features.
The rules of replenishing chips are about as follows:
- The first chip replenishes in about 12 seconds.
- Each consecutive chip replenishes 5-6 seconds more than the previous chip. Closer to 6 seconds in the long run. That's right, it looks like an arithmetic progression, but it seems to slow down slightly over time.
- The maximum you can get in 24h winning only once is about 500 chips.
- If your opponent plays for you and you win him on a new map every 30 minutes, the maximum you can achieve is...
About 40 coins per map per 1.5h. That is 40 * 3 * (24h / 1.5h) = 120 * 16 = 1920 coins.
Probably slightly more, because the first hour you'll gain more chips than average.
The average case of ping-pong competition is somewhat obscured, however.
You both will need to sleep.
You both will get stuck on one or all maps after a couple of ping-pongs.
There will be like 30 chips of additional profit per one map "pass" if you hold a map for at least 1.5 hours and then "re-own" immediately after the opponent captured the map.
There will be like 55 chips of additional profit per one map "pass" if you hold a map for at least 6 hours and then "re-own" it right after the opponent captured it.
Recapturing each map every 6 hours will roughly double your total winnings from 500 ("pure" win only once) to 1000 chips.
An approximate amount of chips for owning the map:
1st hour: 34 chips
2nd hour: 14 chips
3rd hour: 11 chips
4th hour: 9 chips
5th hour: 8 chips
6th hour: 8 chips
7th hour: 7 chips
...
24th hour: 4 chips
For the 1st hour of owning a map you get the same amount as for the next 3 hours
For the first 6 hours of owning a map you get the same amount as for the rest 18 hours (out of 24h total).
For owning a map for the whole 24 hours you'll get at most 169 chips.
Just finished reading this thread.
what i think is, if the ping-pong strategy works, then the best way to play ping-pong is using the death count.
both players don't need to worry about how to win just a little bit.
for example, one player can die for 50 times first, then the other player die for 49 times.
after the count is finished, then improve the time little by little.
however, of course it requires both players know this strategy and play it fairly![]()
Something wrong there; I have had total ownage of some guys for just under 12 hours now, and I currently have 336 chips on those showdowns (they have none, of course)Originally Posted by georgri Go to original post
