    Hey usmovers_02.

I fully appreciate that players have been providing comments and feedback about the map making features of the game (and previous Far Cry games) for quite some time. Whilst it may feel that your feedback is being ignored, this isn't the case. The community team do pass on the feedback which our map making fans provide and we understand it can be frustrating if specific features aren't included in a game (such as multiplayer map editing in the case of Far Cry 4).

However, we do want players to continue to provide their feedback and suggestions to try and help improve the game and in this instance, the map making side of things. With this in mind, I'm going to sticky this thread as an area where the map making community can provide their feedback (either positive or negative) so that everyone has a place where their voice can be heard. Can I promise that any features discussed in the thread will be implemented into the game? No, I can't, but any constructive feedback will be escalated to the development team so that they're aware of what our fans want.

    Thanks a lot.

I do appreciate the acknowledgment of at least one of the major criticisms. That right there is infinitely more than what we've gotten since FC2. But seriously though, what has your company done to make us feel like we're being listened to?

Hello, I tryed the map editor but I've some trouble.

If I press key D, I move cam to the right but very slowly, but how to move cam forward and backward ? How to move fast ?
I don't understand how work 3d navigation in the editor.

    Directionals arrows don't work too.
There is no way to move cam in the editor.

The only possible action is to zoom/unzoom with mouse whell, or "look around" with mouse right button.

    I need some help.
And my feedback is : you should make a better ergonomy about how to move the cam, and how to know how to move the cam.

I have to agree. They've completely decided to follow the money trail, but also completely abandoned the types of fans that got them where they are in the first place. Its like the friend that wins the lottery and then avoids his old friends that helped them through the tough times. Its a straight up betrayal and cold blooded selfish thing to do from ubisoft.

With that said, the multiplayer game is nowhere near where its potential is because of the lack of diversity of maps. Multiplayer map editor would have solved that problem. Could it really have taken much more resources to throw some multiplayer spawn points in the map editor? I find that hard to believe but someone please enlighten me who has more knowledge on the subject.

Hi, I just want to ask for two very small things, which could come in handy.

The first one is rather simple - saw those cool-looking wooden sticks standing across the whole Kyrat, with the flag prayers flying around?
    I mean, these -> http://puu.sh/dsRe6/47118b9ad3.png
It could be a very handy prop in the editor, hovewer, as far as i can tell, they were not implemented. (I mean the sticks, not the flags )

Second one is an snow storm weather, like one of these in the Himalaya missions. This one is also a little bit wierd, because we have an snow storm environment sound effect in the editor, but not the snow storm itself. What's the point then?

I will be grateful if someone will add these.

(PC version here, just in case. And, sorry for any mistakes - still learning English.)

    Been waiting for this thread.

My feedback? Dont bother putting it in the next game if you're not gonna give it the proper attention it deserves. Dont even waste time with it. If you aren't going to market it properly, tell the dedicated mapping community any details about it, or let it live to it's full potential, then why even waste the time/money.

We've had this "Feedback Thread" before. Many times. And while I dont doubt the mods and comdevs for passing it along, I SERIOUSLY doubt the devs give two craps about it. This is my honest and constructive feedback. I'm sure the editor is great (STILL have not bought the game on PRINCIPLE. And I dont plan on it. I wont support Ubisoft's mistreatment of the people who make these features possible) But it will not reach it's potential. Maps wont have any re-playability.

Dont even waste the time if you aren't going to care.

Nothing. When Alex Hutchinson refers to Far Cry fans as "data", and they only care about that, nothing. This is indicative in the deceitful way Alex and crew withheld the information until after launch (thankfully it leaked).

I am currently creating a hunting map in the snow, and with that I would like to add some nice weather effects with it like a snow storm to make it even more intense! But sadly I can't. Also, where is the rain!? And what about notes you can put in the map with some text. And objectives maybe? "Grab the given weapon," "Find and kill all animals."
Also like probably many others have said, CO-OP on those maps and the Far Cry 3 kinda multiplayer! But this time, The Golden Path versus the Royal Army! That would be awesome!

The sad part is, from the vids I've watched the map editor looks amazing. I've spent a lot of time on FC2 and FC3 map editors, but I have no desire to build maps for single player only. Just not my cup of tea. My cup has been lost on consoles and my only option is to purchase a gaming CPU to build maps for other games. I don't have that kind of cash or the kind of time it requires for that. FC map editor was always preferred because of its simplicity while maintaining enough variety.

Yea there is no reason why they couldn't Add multiplayer custom map support, Editors is fun but is missing some things from the game it self, nothing to new and exciting. Things that should just be given to us in updates, but as usual Ubi NEEDS to squeeze the last bit of money out. If they dont give up custom map support this will be my final purchase from UBI FOR SURE.

See Devs are like politicians, Always flip flopping, lots of promises no delivery. wolves in sheep's clothing if i may .

So despite all the irrelevant posts in this thread I hope this will be noticed, somehow...

-PC Upload from editor is completely broken. Maps can only be published from the game.
-PC Vistas will not show in the actual game, only from play editor, this needs to be fixed.
-Waves trigger conditions will always reset to "One died" when you re-open your level from the editor. This is a snide bug that needs to be fixed.
-All NPC spawners (wave 2 and +) don't consider rotation, they will always spawn facing the default orientation. This also affects vehicle reinforcements.
-PC budget is off. The game has far more active NPCs at one time than this 512x512 editor seems to "Allow" thankfully we are still able to go over the limit and it's only a warning.
