^You'e supposed to send the tiger to the bird as soon as it goes down, or as soon as you can get to it depending where it goes down. The bird should then convulse a bit and open it's mouth, not wide open like while hovering, but enough to shoot at it. You then need to aim and shoot at it's open mouth with the bow (RMB aim, LMB to draw back, then let go of LMB to release).

This causes the bird to spit the tiger out of it's mouth. Then you need to drop it two more times with shots at its mouth while it's hovering. The 3rd time only requires sending the tiger once it drops, no need to shoot it's mouth when it's on the ground the 3rd time.

Then you get a cutscene signifying victory.

Yeah the whole Shangri La was ez peazy.
Then I come to the bird and I was not enjoying myself lol.

Specially cause at first I didn't understand what to do and also Id be randomly killed by something didn't know what. (the bird short fireballs)
    Plus enemy's constantly spawning.

Guess thats why it's the 'end boss'

^Yeah it was hella frustrating for me at first too. I kept thinking I had to fight off all those demons and hounds and still manage to take down the bird and find time heal in between.

You have to play it like Wilson instead of Brady, spend more time running than gunning. LOL

Lots of folk find Shangri-La a pain in the a$$. Took me three attempts and 40 minutes. You have to persevere and keep moving about, sending in the tiger when the bird is down and shooting into the open mouth.

Someone re-make FC2 and end this kinda nonsense.

If this boss fight is "nonsense" as you put it, I'll take large doses of it over the things that were DEFINITELY nonsense in Far Cry 2.

The best boss fights are always the ones that can seem frustrating at first until you find a strategy that works. Otherwise they're either too easy or bullet sponge affairs.

I proved in a video some time ago that with a simple strategy of avoiding close contact with demons and hounds, this can easily be done in well under 4 min. If an age 57 old fart like me can do it, anyone can.

There's just too much ado about this part of the game. Quite frankly I thought it would die down once word got out how easy it can be, but people still insist on crying foul.

I hope to God Far Cry 5 doesn't end up being a mambie pambie easy peasy game after all this unnecessary complaining.

The problem isn't that the game is hard. The problem is that the game is bugged which makes it appear that the game is hard. I've had the bird down 50 times and the cat won't attack. I've used the cat successfully in all the previous missions in order to get to this mission. For whatever reason the cat has decided '**** it' and won't attack. I'm really glad I didn't pay full price for this game.

    The last Shangri La

This one was realy a hard boiled egg...My God, it took me a day and a half to finish this bird off. And I did it at the way you said.
So thank you, otherwise I was still trying to shoot this litle birdy in his ***

    how to do it

finally put my ocd to good use and figured out a relatively easy way to do it.

first off, don't bother too much with the demons. they will keep spawning forever so just try to ignore them. if a bunch of them spawn near you use chain/knife throw takedowns to get them out of the way fast. keep moving and let the tiger keep a little buffer between you and the demons.

if the bird starts shooting fireballs at you just jump around and run away from the path of the fire.

the most important thing i realized has to do with the bird's path. after the initial feather-flex animation he maintains a pretty regular path. figure out this path and follow him back and forth along it so you can be ready with an arrow when he stops to turn around. for me the way i did this was: there is a small path that stretches around part of the inner circumference of the ring around the giant flaming bell. it's got cracked black and white tiles marking it. it's in a little divet below the main platform so it provides some cover for demon attacks coming at you laterally. you just have to worry about 12 and 6. the bird flies back and forth from points just beyond either side of this path, stopping to turn around and yell at you on each end. if you run to the end of the path and start using the time-bow before he fully turns around then it's easier to get a clean shot at his mouth during the brief interval that it's open.

i probably spent an hour getting merkked by demons before i figured this out lol

    Shangri La

I stopped playing farcry 4's Shangrila because it has nothing to do with farcry what so ever.
ask yourself the next question, did you seen anything like shangrila in farcry 3and 2? NO and those games where very nice.!
I hope farcry 5 doesn't have this ****, otherwise I stop buying these games.as simple as that.
