I still get stuttering on this game, I have tried all the fixes I can find (disable mip, force vsync, change pre-rendered frames limit, various sli profiles)
Does anybody else experience this, is it just not fixed?
Have solid 60 fps @ 1440p but every 20 seconds or so its like it drops a couple of frames, it is extremely irritating.
Ubisoft if you wonder why people do not like you - £30 worth of game and so far since release I have had 2 hours of very unplayable game for my money. Not really acceptable at all.
If this issue is not exclusive to me and not fixed VERY soon then I will be getting a refund via my credit card company for selling me a broken product.
I haven't really messed around with any of the alleged fixes............................didn't really see the point.
When I buy a new car or motorcycle it's with the expectation it'll work without hours of tinkering and mechanical band aids, on my part, to get it to run properly. I'm on a late model gaming notebook; FC 4 runs on ultra at 1080p at 55-60 FPS with adaptive V sync enabled on my GPUs. I routinely get frame drops while driving or flying, to as little as 35 FPS; then it goes right back up to 55-60. VERY frustrating, and inexcusably parallels my less than satisfactory experience with Watch Dogs. Oh wait! I'm detecting a trend! Same developer, similar issues, I'm dumb enough to have bought the second game after the first. Lesson learned! Did I mention the shadows issue, numerous complaints about mouse acceleration, black screening, failure to install yahta, yahta, yahta?
Throw in lack of mod/modding support and it feels like a big **** *** to the fan base. Admittedly; some of my less than favorable perceptions of the issues and situation could be wrong. Unfortunately; given the lack of routine, full and open communication from Ubi to us; as to the state of things, state of fixes (if any) in the works, and possible timeline for those fixes......................I'm left to my own musings, suspicions, and wonderings. BTW: One of my suspicions is that I'm not alone in my suspicions. Just sayin..............................
Beautiful game world, great game play, noticeable and appreciated improvements to the AI behavior (even if the enemy NPCs are a bunch of verbally PG13 bad guys----they'd be eaten by the pirates and mercs in FC3), ho hum story and plot with HUGE logic holes, and not NEARLY enough Pagan, and a critically flawed technical execution. 5 outta 10.
The majority of people are experiencing these stutters. Some people feel it more than others.
I'm in the same boat, I have these stutters but they seem a lot less worse than what others are experiencing. Even with changing the mipmap and pre-rendered frames, it's still there. For me the FPS seems to stay at 61fps, but it almost always drops down to 59/60 every other moment (With v-sync) and when it streams new content in, it will dip down to 52fps before instantly shooting back up. Lowering textures and geometry only stops the content loading dips, but the micro-stuttering still remains, regardless of setting.
Dozens upon dozens of threads, thousands of responses and still not an official statement about this issue. Other than a vague "Patch 1.5 may fix some issues".
Therein lies the problem... No!, no they won;tOriginally Posted by trapezius1 Go to original post
Don't believe me? ok, just take a few minutes to peruse the Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter I & II or the Rainbow Six Vegas I & II forums and you will see that this so called trend you guys speak off has been the same since 2005 and so far, in 2014 we have the same thing.
Many UBI employees, being Community Manager or others disguised as regular members want you to believe that IT IS OK to expect to pay 60 bucks or more for a half finished game, that because of the intrecasis of making a game, you the customer have to pay them to beta test their game and if they decide that is not worth the hassle to finish it, so be it... they have your money and that is all they really care at the end of the day.
Many have fought me on the buying a vehicle scenario, that it is not the same and well, that makes no sense as it does not matter whether you are spending a dollar or 10 or a gazililion... ultimately, you wasted your money on something that does not do what is supposed to BUT, because many people have either too much money or not much brains, they buy, don't like and buy the next one, rinse and reapet until they don't look so dispicable but wise when it comes to doing business.
Being dishonest is the new trend now a days with big corps and, unfortunately for those of us who care... we are just the minority.
Clearly then, it is not just me still experiencing these issues.
It is one small aspect of a big game but it is enough that it renders the entire piece of software worthless, and should be an absolute top priority for fixing.
I am going to hold out for this next patch, or at the very least some kind of confirmation that this issue exists and is being looked at, but I was lucky enough to pay by credit card and that offers me certain protections, one of them being the right to a refund if a product is faulty regardless of what ubisoft decide.
2 weeks ubisoft... that's what I am giving you to either fix this or confirm it is an issue you are going to fix - after that you permanently lose 1 customer that until now bought most of your games.
I'm holding out for this new patch, 1.5, then if the game's not fixed I'll be taking my copy back too and demanding a refund for an item that is not fit for purpose 'Entertainment' being one of those.
Has anybody contacted Watchdog over this ?
And I don't mean that stuttering piece of crap game by the similar name.
