Lost progress on PC after 1.4.

So I played the game for two weeks, worked well (some bugs). The game didn't download any patches even though I understood that 1.4. had been already released, but it didn't matter. Then on this Friday (5th of December), Uplay downloaded the 1.4. patch to my game and I started playing. And I noticed that all my progress was lost on all the side missions etc., story progression and karma are still normal. Also, I can use all the skills I've unlocked, even though the skill menu doesn't show that I have them.

I of course wrote a ticket to Ubisoft about it and they haven't answered yet. I also know that other people have this same problem and I'm just writing about this so Ubisoft COULD ACTUALLY FIX THEIR F'N GAME! I paid 77€ for the damn Kyrat Edition and I want my money's worth. I've already used over 17 hours to this game, so I sure *** hell am not starting it from the beginning. If I (and all the others with this problem) have to do it, there better be some sort of compensation.

Also, I have no save games in the /bin/Profiles/ folder. Actually, I have no Profiles folder. So I can't even try to use one of my older saves to see if it fixes this.

That's not where the saves are located. They're located in C:Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/savegames/(A big number and letter string file name)/420. Hope this helps.

    Me too

I don't know /when I was upgraded to 1.4. But I was playing last night (saved and closed at about 12:30am).

This evening I started the game up and I'm now back to where was was 2-3 days ago!!!!!

This is super frustrating. Does anyone know if I can get my game play back?

Ubisoft has still not answered my support ticket and it's been 13 days. Guess I know how much the company actually cares. And to think I supported this company for years and didn't mind Uplay.

Probably all the patches they have been forced to make means they didn't negative test the impact on other areas like the save games. I always back up my saved if I've got far quite frequently. Happened with Hitman Absolution as well.

I have the same problem. Is there any solution now after all this time?

1,4 is a very old version .. your game should auto update to version 1.10 .0 thats the last patch released for FarCry 4
that patch came out in April of 2015

your game will auto Update via Uplay if you purchased the Uplay only version

if you have the game via Steam .. Steam will provide all your game updates in the Steam Client

Patch Notes are on your hard drive up to version 1.6.0 in the FarCry 4 Support folder ...after that they stopped including patch notes with the patches
go here for a listing of what the patches included http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...version-number

Ubisoft does not offer manual Download of any of the FarCry 4 patches ..your game will auto update

if you find the game is losing progress its probably tied to a corrupted save file ..save files are located in

the steam version of the game, saves your game to
    C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 856

the Uplay only version they are in
    C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 420

you should shut off the Uplay Cloud save setting in the Uplay client .. its been Known to cause problems..it totally toasted my Far Cry 3 save game a few years ago ..since then i keep that setting in Uplay disabled and have had ZERO problems

its really only useful if you play your games across multiple PC's

see this page on what to do if you get a corrupted save and you had that setting enabled
this is for FarCry Primal but FarCry 4 works the same way as far as cloud saves ...me i keep that setting off so i can make my own backups of the saves on my PC on a thumb drive

see this post on Steam and thank the author if it helps your issue

he also posted a link to his backed up save for the game ..they cover about 90% of the game...... and will only work on a LEGIT version of FarCry 4

he also posted a good guide to make your own save file backups here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile.../?id=379620279
