I'm sorry, but that's a pathetic excuse from ubi.

"Oh, yes, the game actually CAN run on dual-core CPUs, although the frame rate will be lower, but you know what, we'll code it in a way that it'd simply crash, because f*** you."

People have actually found a way to run FC4 on dual-cores through a program called "Extreme Injector" and two DLL files, totaling 411 KBs, and it runs slow but steady. My brother's been playing it with no crashes whatsoever on a Core 2 Duo E6550 at stock 2.33 GHz, no thanks to ubi. There are even people with OCed dual-cores hitting 60 fps.

    Quad-core minimum requirement indeed. /s

Yes, people found a way to work around a bug that is actually ubi's responsibility to fix.

I've played countless games that were above my PC's minimum CPU requirement, and guess what, they ALL managed to run, not just crash at start.

    TLDR;
It's a bug and NOT a hardware limitation, because the game CAN run on dual-cores actually.

Game was fine (kind of) until latest patch.

Game was running pretty well until the patch with no such problems, only 2 crashes near the end.
Day 1 Far Cry 4 was unplayable. Then thanks to latest ATI Beta Patches + the micro stutter fix (something about changing a 1 to a 0 or vise versa) I could not only play Far Cry 4 but I could put the graphic settings way up.

Now. . . . . Latest patch has basically broken my game.

*A spinning load icon appears in the top right hand corner CONSTANTLY.

    * Game constantly jumps from 'full screen' to 'window mode'

    * General overall performance slow down and glitches galore.

I am 81% through the game and have 1 crash up until now. Withing the last 1 hour I have had 4.

When I arrive at a 'mask' on the map theres nothing but grass then the game pauses for 5 seconds and a tent appears with everything in it. Same if I'm running and the game pauses, then a boulder appears 5 seconds later. The game just cant load everything quick enough. It could before perfectly - Now it's broken.

What happened in the latest Patch to destroy all the goodness I had before ?

PS: Is there any way to uninstall the latest patch without destroying my game or saves?

They improved stuttering for me, not perfect, but better than before, so thanks.

Repetitive same-spot CTD (now it is during shangri-la, not long after spinning the second wheel) fault module the first time was the FC4, then the second CTD fault module was M$C++2010 redistribution package? (The only program that has ever given me issues in regards to that is Xbox Backup Creator, and this clearly is not XBC lol).

This WAS running fine after 1.4.0 and after all traces of FC4 were removed and re-installed/updated, now ironically here I am...again, re-installing FC4...again, directly after an update...again LOL
And you know...They can't implement cut-scene skipping, or even access the god damn menu when in a cut-scene...because YODO. So every time I load my save, I get to enjoy the wonderfully over lengthened clip before you start that mission -_-

I guess if this does not fix it like it did last time, I can can find a pirated one with update 1.4.0 and play that until some time next year when UBI pull their fingers out of their butt holes. Thanks UBI for somehow going backwards in comparison to the previous game title (and all the other screwed up releases), kudos for -100 learning skills.

    EDIT:
Looks like every patch they release it will be better to un install the game (not your save of course) and reinstall it, then download their patch.
Seems like another thing Ubisoft can not get right is a new patch migrating onto the previous, re-installed after each patch to correct crashing, and the patch is a single download to go from v1.0 to 1.5, makes sense that this has corrected it every time eh.

Finally got to download the new patch, works very well for me although I had minimal stuttering at high speed & no glitches before, however one has now appeared in the skills tree, I had 14 points to use up as some more skills had unlocked, each one I clicked used up the point but did not light up the chosen skill so I ended up wasting most of them

Wow! This is such a mixed bag of problems, including introducing game killing issues to people who used to have no problems starting at all with this newest patch, that I'm hesitant to upgrade to 1.5. I haven't had any serious problems with 1.4, yet, so I think I'll wait and play offline for now while I'm ahead. Plus it will take at least 3 hours to download this patch at my network speeds. By the way, does this patch delete save games?

In that case there's definitely something not right there, not sure if there'd be any logs to give a hint as to exactly what. But I can pretty much guarantee that it's not Ubisoft's fault. Game runs flawlessly on my system even with msi afterburner and radeonpro open injecting sweetfx and the steam overlay forced onto the game, all with no issues (95% of the time) so the game isn't as flimsy as everybody seems to think. Most people who can't run this game have probably done something on their system that's preventing the game from running, Ubisoft can't possibly account for every single configuration for every single spec PC. If reinstalling the game doesn't help I'd recommend reinstalling Windows entirely.
I reinstalled windows and game today but nothing changed. I also tried injector...still the same sign: "FC4 has stopped"...what could possibly be wrong with my PC?

It's not included in the changelog because they didn't fix it.
    Please test before posting people.
Thanks for the clarification that 16:10 is still not supported.
Until it is - it's still a non-buy from me
