OK Interesting, I pressed Ctrl+F5 when on failed log in screen having read this elsewhere (does this clear cache or something?) Now my collection is updated (thank you) I am at level 12 (good) I even have completion related badges (yay) BUT no badges for the many, many challenges I completed on initiates and no Galata Headquarters cards (which I was awarded for getting to levels 8 and 13 in Initiates during the alpha).
Looks like game sync, if not completely there, is on its way for me at least.
Can @Escoblades or anyone else update us on where things stand with previous Initiates data? I'd feel kind of stupid to have been completing ingame challenges for months in games I no longer have the system to play, plus all those online timeline/map challenges (WHICH SHOULD BE BROUGHT BACK!)
UPDATE: Oh I see from the XP Breakdown screen that Initiates Closed & Open Alpha is now listed as "Coming Soon".
My Unity progress is showing (on the website) as not linked, and also I do not have a badge for my premium Unity companion app ownership in initiates yet, but I assume per recent posts I just need to sign in from my PS4 tonight to sync everything up.
In all seriousness, well done to everyone at Ubisoft for sorting this. I am sure it has been as frustrating for you as it has for us (if not more so!) I do hope we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now and Unity will start to receive the praise it definitely deserves. A lot of people will be getting it for Christmas and if all the wrinkles are ironed out by then, the awful launch will hopefully just become a bad memory.

I would say keep trying...
I would also say Ubi should be posting splash screens in place of the Initiates log in warning people they cannot log in because this would alleviate frustration and save Escoblades having to run between baying hoards and the devs to ask "are you dloing maintenance right now?" and then come here to tell us "yes, yes they are..."

SO for the last 3 hours I can't log in to my finally updated initiates, I get an email alerting me I can claim my free game, I go directly to that link, and on linking my PSN to my uPlay I get
"Sorry, we're experiencing some problems at the moment. Please try again later."Perhaps for an encore Ubi would like to kick me in the balls and sleep with my wife?

Yeah, and if they do finally get things working and patched, and people start playing Unity + Initiates activities, and everything seems to be OK, the Save File Bloat problem will rear up and spoil things again. It made some of the old Initiates ACIII activities v-e-r-y difficult for me as I had played the hell out of my game. (The spouse works in IT/Database management and can scarcely believe that there should be such a problem.) I keep an archive save of Black Flag and revert to it when my game starts choking at every save. I do love sailing the Caribbean...Originally Posted by Moribundman Go to original post
