    Shadows glitching?

I don't know if this is an issue that has is present in Far Cry 4 but I noticed it after playing with the video settings. I never noticed it or think I even had this issue before messing with the settings quit to the desk top, fast traveled to see if making the game load another area would fix and played around with the video settings but the issue is still present.

So I was doing a follow mission for the blood diamonds and was using a buzzard and noticed the water flickering which I assume is noral being an open world game and draw distance only being able to do some much so I tried the Nvidia options to see if it improved anything after that I was getting the shadows acting weird specially indoors and in dence forest areas. For example if I move Ajay (panning 360 dagrees) shadows will dramitcaly move around and cause the scenery to become very dark and it is extremely distacting and immersion breaking.

This seems to only occured since changing my video settings so I change them back I was previously running the game on ultra with no problems I've also tried the Geforce experience and set up using the recommended settings which was max minus the tripple buffering. Still getting the shadows dramatically and unrealistically moving around causing what should be naturally sun lit areas to appear quite dark. Even in open areas on paths and dirt roads. Moving my character on the spot to look behind me shouldn't cause the shadows to move around in such a way.

Is this an issue I am just having or a possible bug in the game?

    specs:
    Intel Core i7 4930K
    16gb DDR 3 ram
    Nvidia 780Ti

SImply go into: Documents/MyGames/Far Cry 4/folder that is in Far Cry 4 folder; click on GameProfile with right mouse button, click edit, search for "EnableNvidiaPCSS="0" and change 0 to 1 .
I had this option enabled in the settings file by default. I don't know why Ubi forced this Nvidia graphical option when it is simply broken.
It was supposed to make shadows act more "naturally", but I don't see how making shadows act like crazy and "follow" you was supposed to be realistic xD.

    Hope this helps .

My setting is already at set at "1" and I still have this strange shadow's dancing about issue. Maybe I should try it set at "0"?

Are you running SLI? If so, we are all getting this. The only fix for now is to change SLI bits to Far Cry 3.
Do a search on the web and you will find many posts regarding the issue and how to fix it until Nvidia/Ubisoft addresses the problem.

I also have this problem. My PCSS setting is also set to 1. Running a single GTX 980 - this is different from the SLI shadow issue. I think it only started happening when I moved to the north half of the country. Or maybe I messed with my GFX settings a little, I'm not totally sure.

Dude sorry, I made a mistake in my previous post. I meant change 1 to 0. That gets rid of these shadows issues .
This is what it should be doing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW6Tm_mfOmw
Ubi forced this option in the settings file yet it is terribly broken in this game and makes the shadows go haywire!

No problem as it sorted out the issue, I should have come back and posted that fact earlier in case others were confused about whether it should be "1" or "0".

Yep seems Nvidia's fancy tech is more unrealistic and immersion breaking than anything else. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. But thanks for the help I can enjoy the game again without swinging in and out of light and dark areas every step.
