Every time I launch the crew it changes my Mic level to 50 (usually I have it on 90) - this then means the people I speak with on Teamspeak cannot hear me.
I have to tab out of the game to change the setting back, then have to go through the sillyness of the game not wanting to tab back in.
This previously happened in the PC beta, but would generally set my mic at 30.
how can I stop it from changing my mic level, or how do I adjust my mic level within the game itself?
Hi guys, could you try running the Uplay client as administrator before trying again? To do this please follow the below steps:
Please go to the following location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
- Right click Uplay.exe
- Select properties
- Switch to the compatibility tab and tick run this program as an administrator.
- Click Apply and then OK.

I can also confirm this didn't work for me.
Windows 8.1 x64
Realtek HD Audio (on board) HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_104384FB& REV_1003
Using the driver from windows update.
I suspect that the game has Mic controls for the built in voice chat, and the volume level on this voice chat is set to 50, if we can change that in a config file or there is a volume slider in game it should be 'fixable' even if it's a workaround.
Can anyone who is affected by this issue please try the following. Click Start > Run > Type "control" > press Ok > Sound > Go to the Recording tab > Right click on your device > Properties > Advanced > Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" & "Give exclusive mode applications priority".
Please let me know how this goes.
Does not work for me. I tried this before you told this.Originally Posted by Ubi-Alpha Go to original post
Tried the following with no improvement or difference to the outcome:
uPlay voice chat on
uPlay voice chat off
uplay as administrator
teamspeak/skype as administrator
sound exclusive mode on
sound exclusive mode off
Ubi-Alpha - is there something in the game that has a default mic setting of 50? in the Beta we had the same problem but it would drop to 30. So something has changed somewhere.
