Why do animals attack me instead of nearest enemy in outposts.

Why don't animals attack nearest enemies instead of walking past a number of enemy soldiers and climbing on top of a roof and attacking me. This has happened both when throwing bait into an outpost and when shooting a cage to set a trapped animal free.

Am I carrying something that attracts them is this a bug for certain outposts what is going on here.

    Thanks for the reply.

lol It's supposed to happen sometimes

it's not like in far cry 3 where the animals instinctively knew to kill all your enemies for you in far cry 4, they can now ignore enemies and come after you or your allies the golden path.

Were there any hunters in the area (the guys with the bows and arrows)? They would be able to control the animals and have them attack you.

Other than that, I find that mostly the animals do attack whoever is nearer. I've used this shamelessly, by running past people with broken down vehicles just so the tiger attacks them, whilst I then get enough time to pull out my rifle and blast away at it

If you tag animals in cages and it shows icon which has those crossed arrows you shouldn't release them. They are "trained" to hunt you down, not enemies. If you tag an animal and it has that predator icon on top of it, that means that this animal will attack guards. So your animal was probably trained one to hunt you, not your enemies. Tag those caged animals before you release them

Hunters cannot mind control animals, please, don't be silly

In FC3 I thought one could drop some dead animals near a Pirate Base and it would attack them. Not so.

So instead I attract a bear or something by tagging it. throwing stones to attract it in the genferal direction of the pirate base, run back some way towards the base (but not too far so that the bear loses interest). Keeping out of sight of the bear where possible, throw more stones until the creature is attracted to a point where it gets attracted to the Base. When it attacks the base, I help it out with a silenced sniper rifle - with impunity as the pirates are totally fixated on the bear.

When the pirates are gone, one needs to avoid tigers, if one of those has been used, by entering the red door to fill up on ammo, say.

However bears, if they haven't been killed by the pirates, seem to just vanish.

Damn good fun liberating a base this way.
