Blue Screen of death renders game unplayable after working fine for 20 hours play

Far Cry 4 worked fine with Nvidia settings (but motion blur off). Played to about 20% completion, and now the game stutters appear, gets worse for 2 minutes then suddenly BSOD and the computer reboots.

Nothing on my PC has changed, not a single thing. How could it work fine and then suddenly I end up with the BSOD and it's unplayable. Very disappointed and confused.

All drivers including geforce 344.75 up to date, running Uplay patched 1.4.0.0. Checked integrity of the game files and they are fine.

    Any advice is welcome

See if you can play something else demanding, like AC Unity. If you can play another game like that for long time hour or two then you would know it's really the game.

I've seen people having your sort of problems due to overheating, so see if your heat sinks are full of dust, but i would just blow it with compressed air anyway, it wont hurt. Be very careful compressed aircan sideways can shoot ice as well. If you have decently clean and absolutely free of water shopvac, you can use it backwards, restrict house with your finger to create high velocity stream and i usually stop fans from spinning way to fast.

My game will BSOD my machine in the "press any key" prompt. No components under load and heat well below the overheating threshold. Doesn't happen in other games. Engine doesn't even load, just poof, reboot, bsod prompt.
