the game is starting to become boring, sure there's bunches to do but the main side-quests are limited also I can't explore without an eagle or pack of wolves attacking me every three minutes!

I like the hunter enemies but I never see any of them out freeroaming, it would have been nice if Ubisoft could have gotten more creative with the karma events instead of re-using the same ones from FC3. I was hoping to see a downed golden path helicopter surrounded by pagans goons or something unique like the ufo explosion that leads to the alien blaster in fallout 3.

    Never go full ******

I played some more, so now I have some more feedback.

A lot of people are complaining about stuttering, but tbh I don't really have a problem with that. The game runs quite smoothly, even when I'm driving. About that's all the positive things I can say.

    - Apropo, driving. When you use a helicopter and make a waypoint, you get a planned path to get to your goal by using the roads. Lame.

    - I suffer from the pitch black shadows/environment too. Best is when it happens during a driving task.

    - I managed to go over 8000 meters high. Guess what I found: eagles, helicopters, other animals, snowmobiles... (basically everything what you don't expect there)

    - I had to google how to use syringes, the game mechanic is not intuitive at all

    - I can barely hear/understand the DJ guy's radio broadcasts, because the music is too loud. He was the 1st NPC I started to like, and I would want to know what he is talking about, but alas, it is not possible. Hurk is OK too.

    - They fixed the erroneous -skipintro command, now we can enjoy all corporate logos again, every time, without the possibility to skip them. Great work.

Otherwise I can sum it up with this short video for the developers:

There is concept called "suspension of disbelief", which means that the player is expected to believe things which are unrealistic. It is natural to do it for a certain degree, but Ubi went way too far, killing their own game. Yes, they made a truckload of money releasing the title before X-mas, but on the long run, they are just digging their graves. I for one, never again buy another Ubi title before extensive testing and even then, I will wait for a sale. With their current business mentality, they are encouraging pirating, because the customers can't trust the quality of the product. I think the high level managers know nothing about games, they never play, they just see them as another form of business. they think a game can be released half-arsed, like a browser or database program. And while they are looking at the sale numbers with a happy smile, they have no idea how bad is this for them on the long run.

Eagles are damn annoying, but only because they attack so often. Going from one mission to another means at least 3-4 attacks. If it happened every now and then it would be unexpected, that's better than "oh damn, not again!"

Aside from technical issues I don't have too many complaints. Most animals take WAY too much ammo to kill, that's a bit annoying. Why can I shoot this guy in the foot with a sniper and kill him, but not a badger?

That said, I love the random events. Cargo truck, random karma event, three types of animals, all at once. Stuff like that when travelling from one point to another makes it more fun.

I've got no complaints here, sorry.

    Loving everything about the game.

    Thanks Ubisoft

    It's not too bad

I didn't so much hate the eagles for personally attacking me, I hated the locals complaining about them. I kind of felt obliged to go shoot at the eagle whilst some hapless Golden Path soldiers cowered. Honestly who am I fighting with? But yes, a few gunshots into the air and any sane eagle would fly away. But they rarely attacked me other than on the towers, and the loss of a bit of health was never an issue.

As for the bugs, I am guessing these are mostly PC users complaining. I saw very few issues on the PS4 and I bet the XBox is similarly reliable.

The repetitive karma, cargo truck, outpost re-saving, etc got a bit much. Not a lot of imagination going on from the developers there, especially if you had played FC3. But then, this game is out so quickly after FC3 that this is not so much a new game, but just FC3 again with a new set of maps.

The storyline is the main bugbear for me. Spoilers! Just having made it to the end I expected some sort of ramification for my preference of Amita over Sabal, until she wanted me to destroy a temple anyway, but there was nothing. It all seems irrelevant, I'll bet if I agreed to destroy the temple the mission would have been the same but to set a few bombs not defuse them. Something along those lines. In any case, there was nothing really to the story. I only cut out originally to join the Path as Min killed my buddy, who I had no idea about anyway. Perhaps I didn't concentrate enough. At least in FC3 I was interested in the story.

I also really didn't find the Yogi and his mate missions any fun. Why couldn't I just kill them for stabbing me in the leg with a drug and not end up with a dumb pipe? And I was hoping to get some retribution on Willis at some stage, but he got away with selling me out.

    I want revenge!

Not a great game, but I have still gotten my money back in enjoyment. FC3 was better other than the improvements with technology, and FC2 was my favourite. I still want to go back to the African terrain and chill out under the desert sky. I found it very relaxing!

I think FC4 is a massive step back,

    It's broken

    the story is really bad

    the characters are utterly terrible

the AI and character behaviour is a joke

the stuttering and performance is terrible (I have 980 GTXs in SLI)

FC4 is an example of a game produced by a boardroom,

    Load of trash.

    Cons:

-No shortcuts to the main menu of the game. Had to suffer through the whole sequence of advertising without being able to use Esc or Enter to hurry those sequences along.

-No voluntary saves, only predetermined save points. VERY annoying! Hated having to be set back to the beginning of a quest when I was actually in the middle when I had to stop the game. I should've been able to save at that point and have the game reload to that point as well.

-Damned eagles! I could deal with one or two attacking as you climbed too near one their nests, but the regularity of the eagle attacks is frustrating and pointless.

-After Pagan Min has been eliminated, one way or the other, the Royal Army keeps attacking as though they're still fighting for him. There's no closure in that respect. The army should either surrender or acknowledge that there's a new leader of Kyrat.

-No closure in leaving both Sabal and Amita alive, even if you kill them later. Nothing definitive seems to have been accomplished by defeating Min or Sabal and/or Amita. It's like a never-ending story.

-Ahjay Ghale had the personality of a wet wash cloth.

-HATED the dream sequences; i.e., Shangri-La, the Yuma quests, etc. Ridiculous and not fun in the least! Where on earth did the devs get the idea that FC fans wanted more of this crap?! Totally distracted from the gameplay, imo. It was bad enough in FC3 when you had to hunt down Vas, but it was really over-done in FC4. Feel free to leave those kinds of trippy quests out of the next FC, thank you! Totally pointless!

    Pros:

    I loved the Buzzers!

-I also loved the level of stealth that was necessary in some quests.

-Great graphics and the storyline was pretty interesting, too.

-FC4 was refreshing in that it was familiar and the basic dynamics of the game remained the same as in the first three.

Not sure if OP's complaints are buyer's remorse or series burnout syndrome. For me, and I think for most, Far Cry 4 offers enough new and exciting things to overlook what are basically a few nit picks.

I guess if I could relate to his points at all it would be that some combat moves are not stripped, but rather relegated to syringes. I never bought into the magic syringe capabilities even in Far Cry 3. The only syringes I use in it and Far Cry 4 are the healing ones, because at least they have some semblance of realism, and are quick and intuitive to apply.

When it comes to magical abilities though, that's where I draw the line. Even if I DID like them, I don't like having to fiddle with a console-ish hypo wheel in the midst of making a split second decision on how to deal with a given combat situation. It doesn't lend well toward impulse gameplay and worse yet, the doses are timed.
