Unable to delete your own published maps

As the title says. Now that re-publishing a map creates a new publish instead of replacing the old one, I can't even get rid of the old versions.

Probably cause youve published them and others have already downloaded them, you can go deleting from everyone's console lol

No, but you should be able to prevent people from downloading an outdated map. It won't be much of an issue for the best maps, as the ratings system will thin out the old versions of maps, but I have a feeling the deeper I dig the more I will accidentally download the outdated ones, which is fairly dumb.

As @Unbelievabl3 stated, the missing functionality of deleting your own published maps is just stupid. It wouldn't remove any client downloaded maps, of course. This functionality used to be in FC2 and 3 which makes me wonder why so many simple and important features got removed or left out.

I just came across this problem as I revised my map, Mountain Outpost. The old version had some issues that dropped its ratings, so I tweaked the map and republished it. Unfortunately, the older version is still published. I don't expect to be able to delete the old version of the map from client devices, but I would like to un-publish it so it doesn't confuse players. This is a serious problem.

Not really sure how it works with downloading a map but my guess is that most would see a map twice by the same author and would download the one with the most downloads, This is really crazy that we can't delete a map from the database - or upload one to over write the other.

This does need to be looked at & fixed but I can't see it happening, along with Camera Auto Scroll OFF not working.

MiiSTY thanks so much for replying to this post.

That video above shows another problem with raising and lowering itemes (on Consoles) while in the Map editor.
Basiaclly with Camera Auto Scroll turned ON the items raise UP / DOWN as they should but with Camera Auto Scroll set to OFF the items then raise away from the intended area and lower away from the intended area - This is really odd as Camera Auto Scroll does not work, this option should allow us to set the camera view then edit the item, unfortunately Camera Auto Scroll OFF still works as it would when set to ON.

I really hope these can be fixed as it would make things so much easier.

FC4 Raising Objects: Wow! That setting makes the editor even more obscure to use than it already is! :P

p.s. Yay! Fallen Champ is still playing Far Cry! Like two of us left from Genesis Device hah

Glad I found this thread finally. I published an unfinished map so my friend could see what I was working on. I assumed I would have control over "my" map. After making a small change, I now have two versions of the unfinished map. I am glad they are looking into this.
