Do you have a dual core processor by any chance? If so, there's a third party fix for it.

    i WANT A REFUND

I am 100% interested in getting my money back

UBI REFUND, REFUND, REFUND. I would like my money back please.... What is the procedure to get a refund? Since you have the NA/CA/SA HQ here in San Francisco am I going to have to file a claim in small claims court? $30 filing fee, writ of Execution $25, Service of Claim $15 that's $70.00 + additional fees, so should I pay $70 to get back $59.99?

I think that my/everyone else that did not get a working copy can consider this fraud based on the following definition of Internet Fraud: We have been deprived of property (working game) a false representation of matter of fact. They release the game for sale as a working copy of the game without any stipulations. Providing misleading information or by concealment of information... Misleading information.. will have a working patch 1.4 to eliminate the black screen (in my case) Concealment of information: Did not advise us and still have not advised potential customers that there may or may not be a issue with the game before you press enter on your paypal or credit card or whatever form of payment you are using as 7 calendar days they are well aware of the problem and still selling/taking peoples money that get nothing in return except for a 24gb of 0's and 1's on your hard drive..

A crime in which the perpetrator develops a scheme using one or more elements of the Internet to deprive a person of property or any interest, estate, or right by a false representation of a matter of fact, whether by providing misleading information or by concealment of information.

    you won't get a refund

digital product. but if you live in the UK you have to contact your consumer advice center who will pass on your complaint to Trading Standards.

    http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/englan...g_action_e.htm

That's only applicable to the UK but if you live in Europe you have similar laws protecting your purchase. You can only claim if:

When can you get a refund?

The Sale of Goods Act 1979 says that any goods you buy from a trader must be:

    of satisfactory quality
    fit for purpose
    match any description given.
If they aren’t, you normally have the right to return the goods and get all your money back. This is called a full refund. A full refund includes the cost of all postage and packing.

This right only lasts for a very short time after you buy the goods. You’re allowed a short time to examine them and try them out, but you must tell the trader about the problem as soon as you find out about it.

I just got a refund from Amazon.co.uk. The mouse acceleration makes the game unplayable for me and I have zero confidence that Ubisoft will fix the problem. Fortunately Amazon were really cool about it and didn't question my claim that the game is broken.

The black screen issue can be fixed with a 3rd party program. I thought it was a fake at first because of the nature of how it works, but after biting my lip and doing it, it worked and I'm now playing the game after 10 days of trying and waiting. Look up the Extreme Injector method. It basically forces the game to use 2 DLL files during launch that force the game to use dual core instead of Core 2(3rd core on a quad).

It works, no issues for me, and I'm happy that any issues I have will be the ones people with working games have!

    Yep, I want a refund..

I do... A week and still black screen.. Cant even get into the game... Last time I buy a Ubisoft game within a year after release.. Its fraud/robbery/theft, selling a game they know doesn't work..

And before the hoards come in and say there's a third party fix for the black screen, there is, and it didn't work for me...

    and FYI.. i7, AMD Radeon HD 6770M, 8GB ram, Win 8.1 (64)..
