Whenever I try to look at the map, it just shows a black screen.

This is a known fault with the cracked version of the game.
Id contact whoever you bought it from and see if they have a more legit copy
Also, it sounds like youre on the first version of the game 1.0.0 if you are you can rename the patch.dat and patch.fat (held in the data_win32 folder) to something else and see if that works (also a problem with the non legit copies.
The only reason I know this, in case youre wondering is Far Cry 4 only allows one save and we have two gamers in the house and Im ****ed if im gonna pay for 2 copies juist because theyve decided not to allow more than one save.
