I said player retention on track central and the numbers are spot on. This has nothing to do with opinion and is not false.Originally Posted by En0- Go to original post
Bad mood? Numbers don't lie. Less than .5% of people who own the game download the top track of the week on track central.
I was struck by his comment on how he thought TC retention was good with such low numbers, so I interjected some numbers. Seems straight forward to me.
Believe me, I would like TC to have a ton of downloads. The cross platforming is great. Unfortunately, many awesome builders don't build as much as on Evo...at least not on the ps4. It's almost a ghost town for quality tracks. Without Uplay picks, I wouldn't even go on. I've mentioned moderator for TC in the past...but I don't think that would actually do much, after further thought.
It's what it is. I still enjoy Fusion and building.
That's not retention.Originally Posted by VEGASTRASH Go to original post
I'm With Vegas ....too little too late in my humble opinion. The addition of custom tracks to tournaments was a great idea. Teams is just GAY! I'm just pretty much apathetic as far as Fusion goes. I recently got an Xbox 1 and haven't even considered getting any DLC. As a season pass holder on the 360 I'll play the DLC as it comes available, until then, you can find me on EVO multiplayer HCT. I don't have any hard fellings I'm thinking I got my $40 worth already. Some great tracks. Just sad we can't enjoy them Multiplayer.
For me, teams has actually made me more competitive. Before hand, I didn't really care about my leaderboard position. I was 200th something and I knew I had no chance to compete with anyone in the top ranking (Chicago, Monstified, End of Assembly, etc.). But now that I'm on the University of Trials team, I feel more obligated to pull my own weight. We're 8th on team leaderboards, and I'm proud to say I contributed 19 million points to our position. For me teams is doing its intended job (if its job was to make me more competitive?)
On a side note, Shifty, where have the 'Murica streams gone? They're the only ones I can watch and its been three weeks without one. I'm very sad![]()
I do want to give feedback on this has the custom tracks is something that has troubled me i dont however want any abuse or malice thrown my way and i am not trolling. I dont post hardly in this forum anymore and this wont change so dont worry peeps this is only a brief post.
I doubt that facts and figures should really play apart but more of how much one interacts within tc , if like my self i go in tc everyday and either continue to build or continue to play the tracks then this is all that is needed to get a far idea of how it effect their style of game play. But all i hear is people speaking of facts well i have some facts which are not false nore acusations. The recomended tracks dont always far well within tc and most often then not are low down on the track of the week. My own tracks stayed above the recomended and so did others as they do quite frequently so if we are speaking of facts then this fact show that other tracks are classed as better for tc than the ones put across and also put across now to the tournament tracks. Why is tracks that have proven to be lessed liked with facts been put across other than ones that are deemed as better for the community of track central. There is 3 tournaments and yet again its the recomended creators that are being rewarded yet as people say facts are facts and facts say that some tracks are liked better then the ones put across. Why not have one of the slots for decent tracks that pass a certain bar in track of the week that are used for tournaments.? I did expect to see creators efforts be supported more when yet another oppertunity arises but i guess thats never going to happen
after all i am only going on facts , tc facts are that some track are liked much more than some recomended so why is it only these that have slots in the tournament section. There is 3 slots and giving one slot to tc tracks would give incentive to creators for a reason to carry on building or start again. If they think they can never get a recomended then atleast they might set their goal towwards something they can achieve. The tournaments have been sat doing nothing so how can this harm something that wasnt nothing anyway.
cheers and just to note , no trolling no moaning no arguing has been involved in the making of this novel
also to be clear , i am joking at the end hence the emote with the tounge. thought i better make it very clear of my intentions![]()

Retention:
the continued possession, use, or control of something.
3x just for you. Track central player retention, not Fusion main game.
This would be done by comparing downloads to total purchases. I'm not trying to go back and forth here buddy, but you're grasping at straws.
Why would I use track central downloads to calculate player retention for the main Fusion game?
This comment isn't argumentative. I'm pointing out what retention means for track central, something Eno doesn't seem to get here.
A better reply would be comparing downloads to actual purchases for the dlc pack/s involved. So Abyss has 25k downloads...a top track with that dlc receives 1k downloads. This would be 4%...much better than .5% for a track with no dlc! as your pulling from 550k.
All these are examples of how you would figure player retention on track central...take note...haha,just joking.

The real question therefore is whether a game has enough user base to continue developing for (dlc/expansions). Redlynx therefore either consider the answer to be "yes", with regard to expansions or they are simply focusing on finishing commitments to maintain reputation and a good business model (and hence future player retention for future products). With dlc one would imagine they are contractually obliged to release six dlc due to pre purchased season passes. Trials has in my opinion always been a game that maintains a healthy user base long after release.
With track central it is natural that less tracks will be built and played 7 months after release. However if track designers have the same philosophy as I do as an amateur spare time author, if only 1000 download a track/my novels and only 100 actually read/play same then they/I get a thrill and pleasure from that![]()
lol tc is that good you can get it for free for a week on ps4haha
could be a good move but does make alot of concerns that little bit more concrete.
edit - just realised its black friday weekend isnt it so most likely thats the reason for it. ( got to remember to make it to asda early in the morning , get some electrical presents for crimbo dirt cheap )![]()
