No Shifty. You took that wrong. I wasn't being sarcastic. I simply meant, I'll take note of the warning.
I don't disrespect individuals who monitor the forums...that just isn't my thing.
Trust me, I'm not some little btch like that.
I know you guys are just doing your job.

Granted, you need the Abyss DLC to play it. 25 thousand people own that though. I can't even calculate that percentage.

Lesson being, you want this stuff implemented at launch next time to get more people into the game. The future changes are welcomed, but what a small audience now...as the nature for most games after 7 months. I don't there's much that could be done to increase player retention. And in the end, a sale is a sale...regardless of whether people play for 7 days or 7 minutes.
Personally I think 50 entrants in a day is perfectly respectable. For starters many will not be aware of the new tournaments existence in the first day - give it time fo filter down the doomsayers who constantly proclaim games as dead within a few months of release only serve to help fulfil this. With a game like trials it is true to say that there are many who will give it a blast fir a couple of weeks and say job done, but there will always be many who take a break to play a new release and then return to it like an old friend.

    that is with every game.
MAny People will Play a game when they get it, finish it (or not) and then move on.
But some will stay. Ist the same with every game.
What I can see on PS4 i think the active Player base of Trials is perfectly ok. There are lots of tracks coming out every day, played by lots of People. I think over half a year after release that is very very ok.

So, 1200 downloads for a number one rated track... out of 550 thousand who own the game is good?

Would you consider this a decent player retention for Track Central 7 months in?

I enjoy TC and still make some challenges for it...not even tracks these days. I'm talking about pure numbers here.
The tournament for uplay is up to 88 players on the ps4.

well, I dont know per se what is good or what is bad for a game in Terms of Player base after x months. You would have to ask the platform holder for statistics like that.
But anyway, from a pure numbers perspective, yes i think it is at least decent.
How many Downloads did top rated tracks have near release of the game? 20k was very much iirc.
now you got 6% of that.
a game that is played by 6% of all buyers 7 months after release is doing well. Few games have this if i would have to guess.
I have bought and played a serious amount of games over the years and the vast majority of them were like played for 2, 3 weeks, then i moved on.
Once in a (great) while there was a game that I flocked to. Trials is such a game for me, other games are such games for other People.

Also: Im just thinking about UGC in General. two examples come to mind. Little Big Planet (known for excellent User Levels) and the second infamous game.
I had These games and liked them, liked to Play them. But only played a handfull of UGC Levels on LBP and didnt even bother with UGC on infamous.
Vast amount of Players just doesnt give a **** about UGC. They Play the game for what it is, they like the game, Play the carrer and then move on to whatever new game Comes around the Corner.

So, all in all, yes i think TC community in Trials on PS4 is fine.

Obviously, professionnally, that's not how we calculate retention.

You're spreading wrong message, bad mood and false constructivism.

I wouldn't be proud or so self confident in your shoes.
