Shifty. I'm certain different rider gear and new bike skins have been mentioned a while ago, quite a few times...probably by me even. With all the experience behind people involved in the game, is it that difficult to come up with basic things like a good progression system?
I understand you were asking in general on how to make things better, etc...but if Ubilynx was big on listening, we wouldn't be here talking about basic game improvements 8 months into it.
These simple and obvious XP progressions would have been there from day one.
How does someone manage a group and doesn't realize...there is no real progression in our XP system. I doubt my comments or anyone's will greatly impact the design of game.
If it were phrased, we will give you $500 to come up with a good progression system we will implement into the game...what are your thoughts? I would gladly lay it out for everyone.
Seeing that not one new outfit has even been released in 3 DLCs...the management is not on the same boat here. Incorporating a well thought out system is clearly not in the cards.

It's not a big deal, but I'm just pointing out the obvious. Clothing, bike skins, editor objects...it's quite basic, which is why I was sarcastic with my response. This stuff isn't rocket science.
I know you're just doing your job and it's really the management I have issues with. I think you have a quite talented staff that created a phenomenal series.

Feedback on Custom track tournament: I like it! It was a bit slow to load up tournament but that was because it was downloading tracks.

    Feedback on possible reward systems:

I'd like to see tournament rewards in form of like paint patterns/wheels/skins for bikes, or rider gear, but it has to be done in such a way that it's fair to players.

    -----------

    System #1:

Instead of having it ONLY unlocked by winning or a high ranked % placing, there should always be a way to slowly grind out this stuff via some progression system.

This promotes both competing for top spot for instant unlocks (let's say top 5 or top 3% or something), but also gives the gold/silver/bronze XP a meaning, of course it's gonna take longer by less skilled riders that get silver/bronze most of the time, but please do not make Top spot exclusive gear, just make it expensive in some way so that it takes a bunch of tournaments to unlock a piece. (this system is unrelated to MP levels, just some new tournament progress bar that fills up until you choose a new tournament only piece to spend the XP as currency)

    ---------

    System #2:

Another way would be to link the multiplayer levels to new purchasable gear (that has level requirements seperate from the total level), and convert the tournament awards to Cash + XP, instead of just XP. You can still let the top spots win stuff faster.

    ---------

The main thing I don't want to see is rewards that can only be won by placing #1, even while it gives the biggest incentive to win, I think a lot less players will bother playing it if they aren't a very good rider already if they see no chance to win, not everyone is a pro, and new players have no chance like this either.

So a slow but sure extra way to eventually unlock the rewards is a good addition. Players still gotta try to at least place top 70% so they still gotta try for the minimal reward. And Silver/Gold is already much higher incentive.

Although I like the TC tournament idea, the current players for a full day doesn't even top 50 people.
Granted, you need the Abyss DLC to play it. 25 thousand people own that though. I can't even calculate that percentage.

Lesson being, you want this stuff implemented at launch next time to get more people into the game. The future changes are welcomed, but what a small audience now...as the nature for most games after 7 months. I don't there's much that could be done to increase player retention. And in the end, a sale is a sale...regardless of whether people play for 7 days or 7 minutes.

I like to get my words out there. Especially, when they're spot on as usual.
It's hard to argue with logic and numbers.

Nothing against you Eno, but I speak the truth.

I finally played the tournament with custom tracks and it worked fine (except for Crash country who lag). It looks we will get one tournament every week related to the uplay picks, good idea

I didn't play the tracks before, all are very nice!
My favorite is Crash country, just too bad the track lag.

I don't know if you could do it but it would be great if we have the possiblity to save our own times, when we play a track in a tournament (custom tracks or not). Sometime i beat my records in tournaments and it's just too bad my time is not saved on the track.

My girl describes me the same way...except the trolling.
I wasn't arguing any great points, just stating the numbers I saw for the tournament...and adding some insight.
    I'll take note though.
