the thread was never was, your thread title is just bait to get people to see you rig specs so you can show off you e-peen..

If the game is perfect and it just needs more power why did you have to mess with settings and config to reduce stutter just like many other????... and by saying its basically gone means its still broken and isnt running perfectly. AMD and Nvidia users are having mostly the same issues with cards from current to several generations ago.

you belong in the battlefield community with all the others that just post rubbish like 'fix yo pc' and 'upgrade yo rig' comments

GTX 970 they are great gpus and if i diddnt already have an r9 290 id grab one or 2 myself.. i have actually built and tested machines with them and they are far superior to amds offerings for many reasons... in general i dont like nvidia but 970 impressed me.

Mods should close this thread as its just flame bait.

    These forums are very docile.

    zazally.
That is a pretty ignorant statement, are you paid by UBi by any chance?
Your gpu is a very expensive piece of hardware, and even you say that the game stutters. And your card is a dual core card so comparing it to a gtx 970\980 is not really a valid argument.
It's not like this is the first UBi game that stutters. Have you played Watch dogs or Assassins Creed U?
But all of this is irrelevant because when UBI listed the min and recommended system specs and the game still stutter and crash, blaming peoples hardware is just an excuse for a poorly optimized game.
If they from the start had said that the game required a Uber system to run properly then fine, but they did not do this.

    My specs are: I7 5930k. 32G DDR4 @ 3000mhz. gtx 970.
I run the game with all settings at Max and it runs fine. But there is still some stuttering going on.
Could some problems be related to peoples systems? Sure.
But the bottom line is that this is another poorly optimized UBI title that was rushed to launch.

What a ****post! I guess the idiot must be you, then? You call this "something nice to read"? Have you noticed there is even a in-game graphic option called "Nvidia"? This game is supposed to optimize for Nvidia's cards, but yet there are many people with high-end rigs, including both Nvidia and AMD users, cannot even start this game due to those fuc3ing black screen issues! And you dare saying people "bashing on them for no reason"? You really are a fuc3ing troll, aren't you?

Oh and to OP. By using mipmap edit you contradicted your statement about this game running without issues. You have to use low level textures because game is broken.

This game is so good. I am loving it so far and I have just finished act 1. A lot of people are buying the new Nvidia GTX 970/980 cards and that is probably why. Those cards are horrible.

Edit Reason: Every setting is maxed with MSAAx8. Getting a constant 100+ fps. Game is beautiful. Thank you Ubisoft. I can't say the same for Unity though. Even I struggle to get a constant 70+ fps on that game. I just want to give Ubisoft something nice to read for a change. Too much idiots bashing on them for no reason. Seriously give them a break.
Same again here. i7 4960x, 2 x GTX 690s, 32GB RAM. No real issues. Smooth as anything.

Everyone who claims its smooth and has made the adjustments to your gamerprofile ie DisableLoadingMip0 = "1", you guys are fools.

By doing that you essentially made your textures look like crap which in return made your game run better. Those of you with dual 690's, 295's, etc. You shouldn't settle. I can run the game smooth with that enabled but we shouldn't have to lower the fidelity of a game because of its crappy engine and claim that everything is fine. Ubisoft should just get off their butts and acknowledge the stutter issue, then they should give us a time frame as to when we can expect a fix.

there is a time frame for the 1.4.0 patch.. friday or the following days, its monday and still no patch or update on when... not a word.... UBISOFT announcements on time frames mean **** all so far,.Not very professional.. Even EA do better with updates on bug fix progress recently.

Like all other modern, high-end games, this one needs real horsepower, and is created for the very best hardware at this moment in time, thus ensuring it will generate sales for several years to come. All high-end games are built with this in mind.

It may be brutal to read, but many users are victims of the pc hardware vendor's "hype" - they taking your hard-earned $3000, quick as a wink, and then, over the next few months you slowly realize you don't have a high-end PC..... It's frustrating as hell, and the only real answer is - like Pinza C55's pic above - learn to build it yourself, learn how to overclock, (you CAN, you know) and you will not only be rewarded with a very high-end PC that will give you the experience you need from games like FC4, but you can build it at a cost of less than $2000 - including proper water cooling.

    No stuttering. See my sig.

I heard that they tried running ACU on the Titan Supercomputer. I think they managed to get 40 fps on medium settings. So that's pretty impressive.
