bump ba bump ba dum tss!
Just trying to get this issue noticed.
Need an answer that ubisoft's aware of this some 2 years long issue(if not living under a rock!). So I can stop coming back here if it's fixed and I can safely buy the game.
If devs are so lazy just reply with a letter.
a-) We don't know/don't care.
b-) We know, but don't care.
c-) We know and can't fix.
d-) We know and will try to fix.
e-) We know but it's AMD's fault as always, go bother them.
f-) *tries to change topic*
I have send the issue to AMD, maybe they will come up with something(Although I wouldn't bet on it since they haven't even fixed the full screen flickering bug in their released catalyst drivers(Fixed it through using modded drivers or the Dx9 Fix for switchable graphics)).
Also this issue has been noticed in the leshcat forum maybe they will come up with something(http://leshcatlabs.net/forums/viewto...9ea0&start=140).
And I wouldn't bet on Ubisoft here since they brought this glitch back from a 2year old game.
If I happen to stumble upon a solution I will post it here.
best regards
Acutally i belive it is the Intel driver that is causing this after all.
Out of curiosity i launched FarCry 4 on a Gigabyte Brix GB-BXi7-4770R to see if it is even running on intergrated graphics Iris Pro 5200.
I was amazed that the thing did not explode but actually ran the game. It was unplayable on the long term since really low FPS but it was okay to walk around, even in High settings. When i came to houses however i experienced the exact same bug with the weird brown boxes (where in FarCry 3 they were more black boxes) that i have on my Clevo Laptop with the 7970m switchable inside.
So since the Brix only has this Intel HD5200 and nothing else the Intel HD driver must be a cause of this problem. So as i see it the only ones that actualy can fix it are the intel guys. I dont think they will do much when AMD approaches them with "yo intel we have a problem with a game when the switchable part is done by your Igpu". But maybe if enough customers of the game harrass them....
Well but i also know i can better believe in the easter bunny, santa clauss etc. again before Intel or even ubi would do something about this.
But i thought i rather share my "discovery". Maybe it helps something ....
Kind regards
Dan
