things you can try also are check your backround applications

    FarCry 4 hates several

Nvidia shadow play caused a huge bug starting in 2016 ..dunno if Nvidia corrected that problem yet ...

Nvidia admitted the shadow play bug was a problem in the driver set in both 361,75 as well as 361,91
and said it would not be fixed until the next Major driver branch

see these posts on the Nvidia forums
    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...99823/#4799823

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...15747/#4815747

if you have an AMD GPU they also have had some driver problems with FarCry 4 and their drivers ..shut off the AMD gaming evolved applications if you installed it

other people also had problems with high overclocked cards ..try reduceing your clock speed of your GPU ??

dunno mines factory overclocked and runs the game fine

BACKROUND APPLICATIONS may also cause the game to not launch properly or crash and you may need Exit out of them, or reconfigure them to work properly with Far Cry 4 known apps that can cause this are

    A. EVGA PRECISION

    B. MSI AFTERBURNER

    C. Riva Tuner Statistics Server

    D. DXtory

    E. Motionin Joy

    F. Anti Virus or Firewall software (AVG , Comodo, Bullguard etc.. <-- check settings)

    G. MSI true Color

    H. Evolve gameing client

    I. AMD Raptr \ AMD Gaming Evolved

    J. TeamViewer

    K. Overwolf

see this thred to possibly fix issues with afterburner causing black screen
    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...rcry-4-Crash!?

Please see this Page where it mentions Backround Applications and how you can try to see if one is possibly causing your issue with the game NOT starting or hanging
    https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/9/...0000000eio0CAA

and if you have Windows 10

go to your far cry 4 .exe and try setting it to run in a win 7 compatibility mode helps for some ..or do what i do and launch both Steam and Uplay as Run as Administrator
    and verify your game files

wish ya luck solving your crash .. it's worked perfect here .... just like it has since the day it shipped in 2014 on all 3 of my systems

try also shutting off the uplay or any other in game overlays .. yes on some systems even the game hates UPLAY :LOL

Well the cracked version works fine, not one issue. Pay for the game - DLC's and you get the friggen bugs. I am stuck here also. Nothing helps.

File a support ticket , good luck with that. They fix nothing. They should at least create a skip mission for this known issue area!
