What hapens if you start a new game?

    Hi,

So I'm pretty far ahead in the campaign, but I just noticed that there was a Uplay action that I missed at around the start of the story.
Was wondering what would happen if I start a new game and play the alternative in order to complete the action. Will it overwrite my current game?

    ****ing hell that's awful!

there aren't multiple saves in FC4, the best you can do is start a new campaign on another game account or use the cloud.

You can have infinite saves.. easily..

Actually you can have infinite saves.. you just need to extract-replace-swap out the saved games..

There are 2 save files. (1.save and 2.save) located at
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\df7e416a-72f6-46fd-b7fc-dd200d7a947
Either an auto save or a manual save will alternate between those two spots. It just keeps flipping back and forth.. if 2.save was done by an autosave, then the next save (auto or manually initiated) will be saved at 1.save

So if you want multiple saves.. just rename or move those .save files elsewhere and then swap them out..

For example.. I get to a spot I want to archive my current save. .I will go into the most recent dated #.save file and rename it to #.save101savefamilyquest

Then, if at a later time I wanted to revert to this arvhived save point.. I woud just copy-rename it to 1.save and then change the current 2.save to 2.saveRecent

Make sure to TURN OFF cloud Synch in UBI settings or the game will just keep grabing the cloud saved game because it is a more recent saved date.
