There is no way to preorder UGC tracks in Trials, so I don't understand the point of NEEDING a track trailer to be released before the tracks are out... The example is not really a good correlation, as you don't need to drum up hype for a UGC track to ensure that you make a monetary return on a limited engagement/limited time theater run. I would rather see "Available Now" on trailers for anything that I find interesting, and I'm sure most people would agree with me... This includes the new Star Wars movies.

But hey, maybe that's just me.

so u dont watch teaser trailers to get an idea if you fancy watching a new movie ? how do u even know there is a movie available without a trailer ?. and how do u see " available now " on trailers u say are not needed . when the name trailer means a preview .. ie you haven't seen the feature

I think you misread what I was saying. Films and Trials tracks are different, which is what I said in the post that you are somehow extrapolating into me saying that they are similar. I'm fairly sure that if you started promoting a track now that wasn't releasing for 3 months, people probably wouldn't remember it. Promoting the track when it IS available is a different story.

But to answer your follow up about the Star Wars trailer. NO. It's not needed. The film doesn't release for over a year, there is no reason to watch a trailer for it now.

There is not reason to continue debating the value of the replay feature with someone who obviously sees no use in it, regardless of the fact that people are already utilizing it to help showcase other people's tracks. If you think that denying someone the ability to show YOUR tracks in different ways is in some way helping you, then by all means continue working out ways to try to do so. You're really only making it more difficult for other community members to help YOU.

Same could have be said about the trailers/previews for Fusion's Multiplayer 8-months ago.

You mean the trailer for the local Multiplayer trailer? I think it's good to showcase that feature because local MP can be a lot of fun with friends

admitted local is fun , but i think the trailer he was referring to was the " local mp at launch and on-line after 8 months" one . all i can find is multilayer ones .and i have searched . typed in local mp and nothing typed in multi player and there's tonnes. im pretty certain there's a difference in the feature and wording .. it cant be that important can it ? and the word "local "might have been missed off all the trailers by mistake .which is so easy to do .

To actually respond to your post I needed to follow the link. Not sure why me making an informed response is worthy of an eye-roll, but that's cool. The trailer was pretty good, but once again... that's not at all what I was saying.

Here's what I have said:
Trials Tracks ≠ Big Budget Hollywood Films and the promotion for the former is not the same as the promotion for the latter.

@attilla - Some people like the new replay camera and some don't. I understand perfectly well. If your 'demand' is that the Replay Camera be removed then I wouldn't push for that anymore than I would push for Ninja tracks to be removed from Track Central, or Extremes to be removed from Single Player, which are also requests that have been made.

The new Replay features take nothing away from those who do not like them and provides an outlet for creativity for those who do.

Official Xbox Magazine got it right... "Latest Trials Fusion trailer highlights local multiplayer and online leaderboards"

there won't be any direct online multiplayer motorcross this time around - at least at launch

Also, Multiplayer by itself does not denote online or local. Just that multiple players can play at once.

in answer to your post i was just pointing out that a trailer however unwanted be it a film / game /track/ music and regardless of its release in 12 months . 12 days or even 12 minuets is useful and although not essential . can do its job in drumming interest on its subject matter i mean 33 million people seem to agree on the star wars .ok attilla isnt star wars but the thinking behind it is still the same . i mean attila could end up being the next george lucas if he made a cooll trailer u never know ,.and also i apologise for not finding that 1 xbox magazine article 8 months ago . me and my damm search engine could have saved me getting excited . must remember multi player means local mp from now on .untill told otherwise glad u could help
