    Having frame rate issues

    I downloaded FarCry 4 yesterday turned on very high settings with enhanced godrays and frame rate was pretty much staying at 60. Today i get on and with the same settings i was getting around 20, i restarted and updated my pc and now im getting around 40 frames. I dont understand what changed to make it do this

    I've noticed this as well, especially with 3 monitor surround. My computer far surpasses the requirements: i7 3770k @ 4.3ghz, 16gb DDR3 @1600mhz, 2x GTX 970 G1 in SLi. I have no problem with one monitor in 1080p because when the frames rate dips, the cards are powerful enough to keep the game around 60-70 fps, but that is super low considering the hardware I have. By comparison Far Cry 3 with 3 monitors at 5760x1080 gets around 90-100fps while Far Cry 4 gets around 30-40 with virtually the same settings. Basically in order to play at all with 3 monitors I have to turn off AA and Ambient Occlusion and make the game look ugly as hell.

    I tried this out and it helped a bit, but its still not as good as it was yesterday right after i installed it.

    Hello,

    First of all I want to say my english is terrible. BUT... I've found a easy way to fix most of the stutters/frame skipping.
    This fixed 100% of the stutter problems. Playing with a Gigabyte AMD HD7870.

    - Open My documents > Open Folder My Games
    - Open Folder Far Cry 4
    - Open the EditorGamerProfile.xml file with Notepad

    - Change this setting; (Press CTRL+F to open the search function)

    DisableLoadingMip0 = "0"

    to

    DisableLoadingMip0 = "1"

    - This may not work for all videocards/setups. If not try this: (Thanks Patilion)

    GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0"

    to

    GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1"

    Save the file and close. Open it again to double check of the settings has been saved.

    Launch the game and HAVE FUN!
    Let me and the others know with a reply of this fix worked for you! I'm sure it does tho..

    (If you are unable to save the game make sure you run the game as Administrator)

    (Close google chrome while playing games. This gives you 5~15 FPS boost)
