A way to know how many people are playing Public matches?

Just like how the UI shows how many people are playing tournaments, perhaps MP could get something similar to show the number of people playing public matches?

    Is this possible?

    Hello,

We have that in our list of things to do but didn't want to delay more, so we'll see if we add it later.

I agree with you, that would be really useful.

    Cheers,

    Cheers En0,

Honestly though! This feature is going to HAVE to be in the first release of MP. I know it's a beta but waiting on a public game if there aren't any players is just tedious. As a point, I haven't had a public match made since the last Friday stream!

Do you guys have a statistic to hand that could let us know the most active time to try matchmaking?

    Cheers.

I'm my time of coding, showing the amount of people playing supercross is "super" easy. It realistically take less than 10 minutes to do.

    Hi,

It feels like you never developed a game, or at least, not of this scale. What you're saying is really far from the truth.

Please don't use this so self confident tone to undermine the work of the dev team, it's highly demotivating.

Your 5 posts are not constructive at all and I don't think you're helping in any way this community at the moment.

    Regards,

I've seen it peak over 20 on PC when the custom tournaments were added...

Regarding the coding of this feature, yeah the base code is a simple as pull a value from a DB/server and present to the player view but without knowing all the game's code it is a bit unfair to say it is a 10 minute job. I work in IT and updating a system may be as simple as a few clicks of next on an installer but you have to be aware of how the update will affect other parts of the systems. Sometimes there are no adverse affects but other times you can cause all sorts of havoc so it is worth taking a bit more time!

Trials Fusion is not Trials Evolution. They are different games. If you want to play Trials Fusion, then you can do so in Trials Fusion. If you want to play Trials Evolution, then you can do so in Trials Evolution. Armchair game dev debates are a bit silly, as the only one who actually works on this game in this discussion is En0, so "realistically" listening to the guy working on the game is better than just throwing numbers into the air.

yep i bought the game. i and many others know the difference . was a simple question why you would ignore your most loved game and build something that your still working on when you had an amazing game to start from .im just a bit miffed because im having to get a 360 again to play the better game when i should be playing it on next gen . .
