Mods,
I am in earnest on getting an answer here - it is one thing to say you are "going to update the community when you have more info" - but this is quickly becoming the last post in many closed threads, all of them dealing with the Black Screen issue, the state of the 1.4.0 patch, or the edits that Ubi has made to its claims that the patch would be out today.
I am fully aware that not every deployment or Launch goes as planned - I work in the industry - but there is a huge gulf between updating your customers with new info, and using that line as the closer to any thread that seems to be critical of the rather chaotic launch of your new AAA title. I urge you to engage in more transparency, and let us have our discourse. Shutting down these threads simply paints you as a censor for a company too scared of its community to engage in frank debate with its members, or at the very least let that debate go on.
Please, PLEASE, quit shutting down these threads.
Thank you!
cyphermagnum,
Unfortunately, what we're telling the community is all of the information that we have! As we've stated before, we will update the community when we have more information regarding this issues and potential patches to fix them.
If you'd like to talk about the black screen issue, please see this thread: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...en-(Windows-7)
And if you'd like to see any new update information as it's released, please see our website: http://far-cry.ubi.com/en-US/news/live-updates.aspx
I will now be closing this thread.
Thanks.
