Far cry 4 on GTX 660

    Hi Guys,

I have a pc with the following specs:

    -Windows 7 Pro (64-bit)
    -Intel i5 2500 @ 3.3 GHZ
    -6 GB RAM
    -Nvidia GTX 660
    - 1 TB HDD

I just purchased Far Cry 4. Can you tell me what graphics settings would be most suitable for my kind of PC ? Should I overclock my GPU ? I do have an Asus program that does overclocking (see image). I have never overclocked cpu/gpu ever.

Right now by default the game showed high settings. VSync normal and Triple buffer is off but when I started the campaign there was tearing on the screen.

What settings do I need to tweak to get best image quality without losing much on fps ?

    Thank you,

    Cheers,
    GR

I have the same GPU in one of my PC's here, I was using High Settings which was fine in the prologue part but once in the open world it's choppy so I reduced to medium settings, I have V-Sync on in the GFX drivers by default which solves any screen tearing issues.

You have better CPU (I have only AMD FX-4170) so you might get away with some things set to high, avoid high textures as this will probably cause you slowdown.

    This might help:

Most important are textures on medium, more than that and it will stutter. Im having shadows on medium and geometry on high, since they are taxing fps the most. You can pretty much set rest to ultra with smaa AA.
