The Crew is not aiming to be a simulation racer.Originally Posted by Rad-Sr8 Go to original post
Wait until you've actually gotten the chance to drive in the game before complaining about it. We've only seen a fraction of the vehicles and their potential power. Hold off on the emergency warnings before you've actually gotten the chance to experience and learn how to use the games physics.
I'm going to go ahead and assume the TDU video of the Viper isn't some guy that played 20 hours in a beta with a near stock vehicle, but I don't know anything about TDU.
The general idea of what the news release is saying is that if you want to drift, you have to set the car up with certain parts and perks to make that happen.Originally Posted by Rad-Sr8 Go to original post
The theory is making all of the parts give a bonus to acceleration and not taking any perk points that increase handling or grip.
We will not know until launch, so I encourage everyone to hold up and give the game a chance. After level 50 has been reached and everyone has had an opportunity to fiddle around with the parts, opinions may change for the better.
Anything at this point is just speculation because we do not know how the cars will handle on max level. However, some people on IT are the same people that were on the TDU1 team. Let's try to trust that they know what they're doing. I am expecting an AWESOME experience and I have the utmost confidence that they will deliver.
ABOUT DRIFTING.... I wanna make an abservation here.
Technically you can´t properly drift in this game. You can just get some speed and throw youself on a powerslide, BUTTT..... the game understands this as DRIFTING, and we get drifting bonuses.
Which means that the game is treating players with another understanding of what means drifting. Not everybody would do it properly if they had to do what it takes to really start a real drift, so once again here comes the EGO-MILKER-COMPONENTS, easing the process for everybody to know that they are drifting, when in fact they are powersliding, and finally you see "GOOD DRIFT, YOU GOT BONUS, HOMEBOY".
If the game is making this, I wouldn´t expect any approach to the real thing. Just take it as people do in need for speed games, with the "DRIFTING BUTTON".
omg again? this is what you wrote at first and what i answered you in my first reply... if you didnt get it, get over it, wont explain it again...Originally Posted by asmolnyi Go to original post

it's not my problem you don't understand somethingOriginally Posted by asmolnyi Go to original post
I was hoping the page would go into more detail on the various Linearity slider settings. Is '0' in the center or all the way to the left?, for example.
What are some popular configurations for various handling types? What impact does making road handling better have on offroad handling.
This way we don't have to spend 3 hours fine tuning everything.
Can the community manager shed some light on this problem. (I thought they would have done it by now).
The request from everybody is to have individually on/off settings for all assist no matter game-pad, keyboard or steering wheel.
If this is option is going to be in the game, the players will be able to set it to there game experience/difficulty.
