Finally got around the SLI issue and its cure, tried all the setups in the nvida control panel and advice from ppl here and other forums, new drivers etc etc and nothing works the way it's supposed to be maybe because SLI wasn't coded from scratch (not knocking the devs it's financial sense NOT too considering the minimal minority that has SLI/crossfire)
Simply disable the second card.
pre SLI new drivers etc 30-35fps high settings@2560x1080 settings mainly on high/on ultra...lol 23-26fps
Disabled second card 70-77fps in high settings@2560x1080 settings and now 42fps minimum on ultra or everything maxed.
my advise sell the second card as even if they do patch and cure it any FPS more than 35 is a waste unless of course your heading into 4k etc.

Oh. My. God.
THIS WORKED!!!!
I can't believe I or thousands of other people didn't even consider disabling SLI! It was so obvious but not a single one of us ever even tried it. I can't believe it.
And your advice to sell my second card because three days after release, a single game can't properly utilise SLI is absolutely brilliant!! Now I can can get less than a third of the money I paid for it back and I get the added benefit of not being able to play EVERY SINGLE OTHER GAME I OWN THAT PERFECTLY SUPPORTS SLI at a decent frame rate.
I'm speechless. You should start your own website for gaming protips.
Edit: Or I could change my SLI bits to 0x080020F5 and the black shadows problem magically disappears. Or, if I can be patient, I can wait for a patch or two and another driver update.
Where do i change the SLI bits ???Originally Posted by MrVesuvius Go to original post
Thanks
Download Nvidia Inspector, click the little settings button after launching then go to Far Cry 4 profile. Change the SLI bits that are are already there to the number I posted, click apply in the top right and launch the game.Originally Posted by George_B Go to original post
Don't forget to sell the other USB devices you need to uninstall to be able to play this game... with the money you get from that sale you go can go and buy Unity, hence, help UBI pay for the Millions of Dollars they spent Duping you with their marketing video trailers and the fact that they said the game was made on a PC and not a console port Bwahahahahaha
