I've spent the past 4 hours playing and so far, every mission I've played has been broken. None of the enemy AI will spawn when they are supposed to, the objectives don't change, voice acting doesn't work, i have to alt tab out to make any of the cut scenes work and this is to say the least. For example at the beginning of the game i run to the truck as fast as i can (note there are 3 enemies and no allies fighting back apart from the guy with the pistol) when I get in the truck more enemies appear and I start getting shot at. The driver does nothing. When i restart from checkpoint it loads just after the elephant has stormed through. Also I've just done the mission where you save the town from being attacked. I had to load it three times from either before the checkpoint or at the start of the mission because of AI not showing up and mission triggers not activating! the only fix i have found is hammering the map (select) button repeatedly which seems to force the game to load these mistakes. I've heard about patches for the game, but i assumed that uplay would download them automatically as I've only purchased the game this evening. Can anyone shed any light on the matter or am i going to have to wait for Ubisoft to bring out a patch. thanks for the help.
Why is this game so buggy?
To answer this question we have to delve into the past to take a look at this years releases by Ubisoft.
First up the "GTA killer" known as Watch Dogs undertook an aggressive and expansive marketting campaign, creating a hype train stronger than the dead Michael Jackson's attachment to children. Everyone, more excited than Britney Spears on crack busted open the Watch Dogs experience day 1, only to find they had been sucker sucked into a void of hate, bug infested and fail ported diahrea of a game. Problems such as, no DDL 5.1, massive stuttering, AMD neglect, mouse acceleration, black screening and online faults, to which some still haven't been fixed almost 6+ months after the blockbuster failure was released. Issues that have not been fixed like of the more notable anger enducing problems Far Cry 4 is currently undergoing; like, no DDL 5.1, mouse acceleration, stuttering, AMD neglect, black screening and online faults.
Next up was Ubisofts, Assassin's Creed Unity, an openworld frame draining, npc spawning, ground falling, performance eating, un-optimised and online stuttering mess. Unusually, DDL 5.1 and mouse acceleration didn't make it into the games fated early access release, which makes you wonder!? Did the same devs from WD work on FC4?
As you can see, including FC4, 100% of AAA Ubisoft PC releases in 2014 have been released with extreme STD bug infestation.
So, to answer your question sir. This game is buggy, beacuse Ubisoft.
In the future, I recommend you purchase Ubisoft games at discounted prices, like through GMG. Here in Australia the game was being sold at $80AUD, on GMG you could buy it for $42AUD. Buy there games for indie prices.
yeah i got the game for 27 quid for the limited edition anyway so thats not too bad! and that description was amazing ubisoft should have u write thier FAQ cuz it sums them up in a nutshell!.
and im running on windows 7, i have come up with two possibilities. 1. its cuz im running an amd processor. 2. the game is a buggy pre-*********d money snatcher! i can already see the copy and paste from far cry 3 and im on the third mission. I've played a fair few early access games off of steam and tbh they all run better than this! its pretty disappointing.
Sorry for the frustration.

Thank you for the reply and i have sent a bug report with as much detail as i can muster.Originally Posted by EvilPixieGrrr Go to original post
What i'd really like to see is Ubisoft as a company take a lot more pride in thier work. To release games in such low quality states gives a very bad image for the company, and could almost be taken as they don't actually care about thier product. I really hope Ubisoft learn by thier mistakes and understandably nothing can be perfect, but as a AAA company the customers expect alot more pride and effort put into what they're buying, and the company should be delivering.
Sell a good enough product and you'll make money without having complaints and annoyed customers. I look forward to the patches.
Hey OP - your post describes an experience that almost exactly mirrors mine, and which I have also reported on these forums. One of the things that has helped me tremendously, and which I haven't seen mentioned in this thread, is that if you have any gaming peripherals plugged into your computer, try unplugging them. I had a PS3 controller, logitech driving wheel, and CH rudder pedals all plugged into my computer (because I almost always do) when I was having all the crazy issues you describe. After I unplugged them and insured that no gaming devices were listed in the "Game Controllers" control panel, I have not experienced any further issues along these lines. Of course, there are still loads of *other* problems, like horrible mouse support with complete inability to fully disable acceleration, and crazy frame stuttering on what is still my reasonably decent AMD HD 7970 card (and many other cards, to read reports).
Best of luck mate!
I tried to submit some of the bugs that I encountered. Instead of submitting tickets, the site stated that my problem have been solved and nothing has happened so far. Basically I lost 500+ characters of text (twice), and im not trying anymore. I'd rather pay 60€ to get ebola rather than buy anything from ubisoft.Originally Posted by EvilPixieGrrr Go to original post
Sorry for being so salty, but the fact that I might have to replay 10+ hours to get to the point where I'm currently at pisses me off so much.
the same reason assassins creed unity is so buggy, and most other games released around now.Originally Posted by Briggs00 Go to original post
