Co-op doesn't actually save? Thanks for the heads up.

First off, I absolutely love this game! Brilliant ****ing beautiful game. I bought this and DA: Inquisition thinking that the latter would be played more, but that is just not the case. I'm having way too much fun with this game.

The problem is the Co-op. Me and a buddy of mine bought the game, unlocked co-op, and played together until the next morning after the release day. Had a blast!

We liberated every bell tower and outpost we could with the are we had unlocked so far. We got so many damn collectibles in the midst of all the hunting and madness. I thought it was really cool to be able to achieve this all with a friend at your side. Too bad NONE OF THE PROGRESS SAVED.

I don't understand how this happens. Nobody is going to play co-op if the things you do don't even matter unless you are hosting. The game even asks you if you want to save progress at the beginning of the co-op experience. I even received trophies throughout the night. I log on the next day to continue the campaign offline and find the I have like 2 collectibles and only the beginning area un-shrouded.

My experience with this game has been extremely tarnished. There was no indication that only your xp and guns/crafting would be saved (what the ****?) so I never thought, "well maybe I shouldn't spend 12 hours putting in work for platinum on this game because none of it going to matter when I go back to my campaign."

This is very frustrating and needs to be fixed. Currently there is no reason to play co-op unless you don't care about your progress and just want to screw around. I'm so unmotivated to play through everything I did for a second time.

    PLEASE FIX THIS

I bought this game solely for the ability to do all the outposts and towers with a friend. But there's 0 chance I'm doing it once in their game and then all over again in my own. Progress needs to be saved for both players!!

Anyone who feels the same please speak up and hopefully we can get Ubi to patch in this feature asap.

    This is some BS

I just want to know how hard this was to do, and what compelled them to think that this style of co-op was ok

    Cannot connect

Atleast you guys can invite your friend and play... me and my buddy have both tried sending invites and cannot connect to eachothers game. Invite Sent. Accepted. "Joining Game" for 10 seconds.... "Cannot connect..."

This game is sick. But there have been some serious letdowns. People sink $60 into these games, that isn't pocket change for most people.

That sucks man. I'm pissed for you. That may have something to do with you're NAT type and compatibility. I don't how they managed to not implement saved progress for the non-hosting player though. That is just a gamebreaker.

It DOES NOT apply to any gems pick ups, posters, side missions, fortresses or camps...so pretty much co-op is useless as it currently stands. The only reason I would ever see co-op as an option is if you are having trouble finding a certain item, or beating a camp or fortress, a buddy can hop on and help...but wont get credit.

I am not sure why they went this way. The co-op aspect of this game is laughable and truly disingenuous.

We had the same issue. A buddy and myself played for about four hours yesterday. Cleared off all the towers and opened up the map, cleared quite a few item pickups...when he reloaded his game later on his own...let's just say, there was a lot of swearing.

The way Ubisoft marketed this game is abhorrent. They list it is an open world co-op game, when it clearly is not. There is little to zero reason why you would ever join a friend in co-op.

I was soooo looking forward to division, but after Unity and this, I don't trust this company to cross the road without getting hit, let alone developer a solid co-op game.

Now...its not all bad. The single player as always, is great. The game looks beautiful, the developers from a graphic, sound and overall fun perspective, knocked it out of the park.

However, if you are like me, and play games to enjoy time with friends in a party, I feel really let down by the co-op. We were loving finding stuff together, only to find out one of us collects at a time. Really disheartening. Such an easy thing to apply too, how many games on the 360 or PS3 had this type of co-op last gen...

    Crackdown, Saints Row, etc, etc.

I don't know if Publishers are just becoming extremely lazy, having trouble figuring out the new tool kits for games, or getting squeezed at the revenue centers, but they are really under delivering so far. New Gen has been anything but good so far.
I think you hit it spot on. It feels like new gen games are all so rushed through development. There's so much false advertising, content locking, and ****ing hype going on. Its like all the industry cares about is fooling the consumer base to extract the maximum amount of cash. That's a whole other discussion though.

It is beyond me as to how the co-op, in it's current state, got shipped. There is literally no reason for me to join someones co-op. I'll host one, but why would someone else join mine? Pointless. I bought this game for the co-op and I was extremely satisfied until I realized the unfortunate truth. Falsely advertised? Stupidity? This needs to be fixed.
