Banter is a little dig, but in a friendly way.Used against your mates. It happens the world over, not just in the UK. Not quite sure what that has to do with Northern Soul, that isn't the issue anyway.
I don't adopt a negative attitude to all your posts, I actually admire your passion for the game, and your willingness to learn the editor. It looks like you're coming along nicely with that, by the way.
Just once though, it would be nice for you to accept the picks and enjoy them, instead of moaning every week.
Rod, lol. I actually like that one.
I upset you? It's your continued criticism of the picks that winds everyone up. The dig at Northerners was certainly not banter. If I have a friendly dig at someone I usually accompany it with one of these-, or

As I've stated before we do not pick tracks based on the builder. Did you get that? Maybe I need to be louder. WE DO NOT PICK TRACKS BASED ON THE BUILDER. The guy who does the first pass at tracks doesn't even look at builder names until he's decided to add a track to the list. You are allowed to have opinions on the tracks that are picked but repeatedly stating the same false accusations is not helping you out at all. Don't make me regret suggesting your track Nothing to Declare for the list of possible tracks.

But funktastic- your point is the same one that we talk about each week. It's not a solution, it's not really criticism of THIS project. So yes, when I see the same post, week after week, I get to the point that I like to have fun with it.
Uplay Recommended is working as intended and THE WAY THAT IT CURRENTLY WORKS will not be changed to showcase tracks that don't meet our criteria. Repeatedly bashing a thing for being exactly what it is supposed to be doesn't make much sense to me. This system has worked well for years, it's not changing based on the feedback of one person. I have asked you for ideas on other ways to achieve your goal, and instead of getting any ideas, I get the same posts hating on Uplay Recommended each week.
I think that you are exaggerating a bit by saying that I always ridicule you.
My original image, though not directed at you, was funny. It was also posted because mere minutes after I posted the picks, the first 3 posts were headed to argument town.
The second image was directed at you, and it is also funny because I do not know how to get people to understand that Uplay Recommended is working as intended and it isn't even close to being changed. If you have ideas, please share. But Uplay Recommended is Uplay Recommended.

Unfortunately you guys are getting much better at optimizing tracks for your own platform and this has caused some problems recently. Previously tracks from new-gen and PC all worked on each others platforms fairly well so we mainly focused optimization efforts on the Xbox 360. However we've begun to increasingly see that tracks from one won't necessarily run on the others. We are stepping up our efforts in regards to this and will be starting to test tracks more thoroughly on all platforms instead of focusing mainly on Xbox 360.
Also related to this we are finding more and more nice tracks that simply cannot run on some platforms which is causing us to have to pass on some really nice tracks. In order to keep these tracks coming every week we need to keep the work flowing so if a track is going to take too long to optimize we have to drop it so we can finish the rest.
We are definitely working to improve the performance problems we've seen on a few Uplay tracks but its possible there could be some more before we get all the issues worked out.

Crash County is basically unplayable in the state it's in on PS4. Final half or so suffers from horrible slowdown. Last week's Clandestine also had some problems, but not to this extent. Such a shame too... was looking forward to having a go at Crash County
Rest of the tracks seem like they're okay though.
edit: Explained while I was posting, I see. But... man, Crash County should not have been put up in the state it's in. It's not fun to play and it misrepresents the creator, who I'm sure won't exactly be thrilled to see how messed up it has turned out. At least Clandestine was still playable.
I am a gamer. I play Trials as well as many other games at home almost daily.
I am a builder. I've been a builder in Trials for longer than I've worked at Redlynx and I still regularly build in my free time.
I know exactly where you are coming from and I'm sorry to say you are simply wrong. I really am tired of repeating myself here. Regardless of what you think, we chose tracks based on the criteria we have for tracks, not who built them. If you don't like the tracks picked that's fine but you really need to stop killing these threads with your accusations that are absolutely untrue. There are many different things we look for in tracks, what those things are may even differ from week to week but who built the track is not one of those things. This is seriously the last time I'm saying this. WE DO NOT PICK TRACKS BASED ON BUILDERS. Period. That's it. There is no "circle of friends" I don't even know most of these builders. There is no 10-20 same builders, there is more than 20 builders on PS4 alone, closer to 100 when you count all platforms. Tracks get picked because of the tracks. Period. Obviously what you think is a good track and what we do is different. Unfortunately for you the feed is called Uplay Recommended, not funktastic recommended. You want to say you don't like the picks? Fine that's your opinion and you are welcome to it. But please stop trying to pretend there is some conspiracy against you, there is not.
Also I didn't pick your track to shut you up, like all tracks I picked it because I played it and liked it. However doing that and then having you shove it back in my face and write a short novel calling me a liar does not make me feel good about the decision.
