🛈 Announcement
Greetings! Far Cry forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game.

The forum member Ceano made another suggestion that should be implemented into the game - the ability to turn off enemy tagging when using binoculars.

I also have another point of criticism regarding the button reminders. The "press button to cancel arrow" prompt is a plain eyesore for stealthy gamers!

You are welcome! Hopefully Ubisoft will hear us and implement these things with the aid of the Community Managers.

Thank you a thousand times Ubi_Jax and EvilPixieGrrr!

And guys, I opened another thread where I discovered a bug that gave me a great idea. Ubi_Jax responded there also!

Feel free to have a look:

    Updated list of requests:

    1.)

an option to turn off the white flashing/ blinking effect on interactive objects and corpses (crates, weapons, ammo boxes, human corpses, animal corpses etc.)

    2.)

an option to turn off all environmental destination indicators (dynamicly moving arrows on the screen which lead to visible letters and symbols within the game world - e. g. mission triggers, manual waypoints, side missions, savehouse locations or merchants; --the minimap and its symbols are not concerned!)

    3.)

an option to turn off all kinds of button prompts such as "pick up weapon", "enter vehicle", "loot body", "skin animal", "press to reload", "press to enter", "press to heal", "press button to cancel arrow", "hold button to get out of the car" etc.

    4.)

an option to turn off the button reminders which show up while using certain vehicles such as the glider, gyrocopter, car or boat ("L3 to use wingsuit", "press button to deploy parachute", "press button to change seat" etc.)

    5.)

an option to turn off the text reminder while auto-driving is active

    6.)

an option to turn off all occasional event reminders such as the karma events, destroyable trucks, Pagan's wrath, bomb defusing, hostage saving, shootout assists etc.

    7.)

an option to turn off all tutorial related messages/ button reminders/ pop ins

    8.)

an option to seperately turn off the "press button to reload" prompt

    9.)

an option to deactivate automatic reloading when the magazine is empty

    10.)

an option to deactivate the enemy tagging and highlighting when using the binoculars

    11.)

an option to deactivate the touch pad weapons menu (I always click the touch pad accidentally while moving forward with the analog stick, resulting the weapons menu to pop up all the time)

    12.)

an ability to mount and unmount supressors/silencers ingame and in realtime

    13.)

the ability to honk with cars, bikes etc.

    14.)

Fix of the "Royal Cargo Truck-Bug"

And here are some other suggestions to make the gameplay more fluid in general:

    - In case we're going to be able to turn off all indicators and symbols via the next patch - including the enemy tagging - the enemies should be still visible on the minimap. Only on the minimap!

    - The fantastic adventuring music that plays occasionally during exploration should not stop when entering a vehicle such as the gyrocopter or if you get into water. It would add a great ammount of atmosphere to the scenery when flying or diving/ swimming with ambient music was possible.

No they haven't done sh*t yet. They haven't even patched in the godrays back which they took away with the first patch. The sound bugs are still present, too. Not to mention the flashing bodies or anything on the abovementioned list. It's been more than a month since release and there is still nothing! I am hugely disappointed by Ubisoft and hereby pledge that I won't buy any Ubisoft game anymore. Just like I didn't bother with the bugfest of Assassin's Creed Unity. Far Cry 4 was my last Ubisoft game ever. Lazy money-grabing cutthroats. I'm done with you once and for all.

I agree with everyone's sentiments here. Please Ubi, just give us these options already. How long would it take you to write a few lines of code that create an "ALL HUD AND PROMPTS OFF" option??

Why is it so difficult for you to understand what we mean when we say we want a HUD off option??

Initially, it seems as though you listened to the players by giving us a massive array of HUD options to turn off, but when you start the game, there's STILL loads of crap littering the screen; objective notes, objective markers, arrows, button prompts, flashing objects.

Why do I need to be told what button I press to get into a vehicle, EVERY SINGLE time I approach one?? Why do I need to be told what button will release me from the hand glider, EVERY SINGLE time I want to perform the manoeuvre?

Take a lesson from Guerrilla Games and their Killzone series. From Killzone 2 onward, they have included a simple 'HUD off' option. When this is enabled, EVERYTHING is turned off - no markers, no prompts, no nothing at ANY point... no matter how difficult the game might be without HUD, they at least recognise the fact that some may want to play without any screen clutter.

No HUD of any description - no matter how much you may consider it needs to be there - is ESSENTIAL for something like Far Cry, especially in free roam mode.

All we're asking for is the option, Ubi. We're not forcing anyone to play HUD-less... we just want the option for God's sake!

Oh, and just in case it doesn't already exist, can we have an option to holster weapons, please?

I did not expect to read something that could have been written by me exactly. These have been my same thoughts for years now. Ubisoft needs to change their HUD-design already. It is unbearable anymore.

Oh and the holstering weapon feature unfortunately hasn't been implemented yet. But I have posted a thread recently where I've demanded just that:

    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...7#post10387657

In any case, I will add this to the request list immediately.

Thank you for sharing your valuable thoughts with us. The more people start complaining, the sooner Ubisoft might listen.
