So private coop is broken just like in Farcry3? (which is still broken for me) This is disappointing to see. I really enjoyed the single player campaign in Farcry 3 and really wanted to enjoy the coop campaign. But saddly, Ubisoft decided to ditch lan support and force us to use their broken Uplay service. So the wife and I never did get to enjoy the coop campaign in FC3. And after reading this thread, I've saved $138 ($69 for me and $69 for the wife) by not buying to FC4.
It's a shame. I was really excited to get Farcry 4 (the game looks really fun) but I'm not spending money on a broken game.
Use LogMeIn Hamachi!! it also works for similar games to!!!!

How does logmein help? I bought the game so that I could play with my brother who is living in Taiwan, and I'm desperate to make it work. I'd really like to spend quality time with him, but everytime we play coop, I get kicked out in 5 minutes. None of the support suggestions work, and I'm searching everywhere to find an answer. I just set up a VPN and that's it? Thank you for your help! Most appreciated. More help than I expect to receive from Ubisoft. If I can't get it to work, I'm going to try to demand a refund.Originally Posted by redlink6969 Go to original post
They should really stop advertising multiplayer and coop if they can't actually make it work. This goes for 90% of their games it seems.
A friend and I are having the same issue. We called in to UbiSoft tech support, reported the issue and it was sent up for further review. There is a verified issue with PS4 and appears to also be affecting PS3. So, they suspect Sony's servers to be the issue. If it is a server issue, they hope to get it resolved through some sort of reset. Otherwise, Dev will have to review will will likely take at least a week before I am able to call in to get a status. I will post here again if anything changes.
However, you might consider running through their support guide, reboot modem, router, verify NAT Type, etc. (do your due diligence), then give them a call to get another ticket attached to the incident.
I can't join my friend and he can't join me. This is ridiculous, three years Ubisoft, three years. We bought this game solely for the reason that we wanted to play some co-op. We can join random peoples games but that's not what we want. It's so ****ing dumb that we have to **** with our firewall and router settings in order to play.
FIX THIS.
