I thought that I had solved the problem this way too.
It actually started to occur randomly with no antialiasing on at all!

Well I tried without anti aliasing and just with SSSAO and still have very dark shadows and can't even play at night.

Funny how "ubi" hasn't heard about it and a user from a forum seems to have found a workaround with bits from Far Cry 3.

So I guess that's on NVIDIA side. But for a game that has an "Nvidia" special settings, I would assume ubi/Nvidia would test that.

But they prefer to talk about people who pirate that game on twitter.

Now that's 3 Triple A titles with issues :Wath Dogs (still unable to play with 2 GTX 970's - using only 40-50% of GPU) Unity that had 2 districts you couldn't go to for 2-3 days before they released a patch without ever acknowledging the issue in public, and now this !

If you still don't want us to pirate games, you'd better finish them before releasing them (as far as watch dogs that's like 6 months!)

I'll try ATOMICWAR workaround and post back with the results.

So I was only able to but the Direct X10 bits since I haven't seen a way to add another field in Nvidia inspector, but it's already way better.

I mean it's still dark at night and shadows are dark, but not DARK BLACK. So that seems normal to me

So thank you ATOMIC for doing Ubisoft and NVIDIA work.

The should send you a free game.

Happy to help for the sake of helping, but i won't lie it be nice after...Watch_Dogs (bought for wifes account...though seems mostly fixed for us now), Far Cry 4...and i was lucky to be broke enough to avoid the ACU debacle...though i still want it

Well yeah it's really dark days for Ubi.

You are lucky for watch dogs.

    Still have 25-75 FPS

As for Unity as long has you have a powerful PC you're fine.

i mean like I said I couldn't go to 2 districts for 3 days but aside from that with my beastly RIG I never had perf issues, even maxed out.

Well thank you sir and have a good day

Setting for Far cry 3 is not helping me in Far Cry 4.

With normal settings: very dark shadows, nothing you can see, unplayable in night. No flickering if AA is disabled.

Wieh Farcry 3 settings: normal shadows, flickering, equalless AA settings... Not playable completly..

    ill try it out

Ill try changing AA about to see if my problem dissapears.

and no UBI, im not placing a ticket. you make it so hard now. you should have a link in each game for support instead of forum access so ill spam your forums with faults if thats what you soo desire.

    sick of it.

    Thanks to all who replied
