    SLI Ghosting after Nvidia update

    Hi Ubisoft,

i was playing far cry 4 on a single GPU when game released due to no sli profile..... i updated my nvidia driver which appears to now have a SLI profile. however i get a permanent ghost image of a scene when im playing. seams when you enter a menu it goes to a ghost which i cant get rid of. only way is to disable SLI in nvidia control and go back to a single GPU. Also if i go to my ULTRA settings its way to dark it seams.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I was having the same ghosting issues, found this post while googling for answers, but couldn't find much.

After fiddling with the settings it seems to be related to the Ambient Occlusion and Anti-Aliasing. Altering settings for either changed how much it was happening for me, changing both so it is using neither SSBC for Ambient Occlusion and SMAA for Anti-Aliasing, which are the defaults on Ultra, seems to have fixed it. If either of them are chosen it happens, but on other settings I've tried I don't seem to be getting it (obviously not tested everything, I've gone to HBAO+ and TXAA2 for now).

Can confirm with 2x 660ti, need to switch to 2x txaa or severe ghosting persist. Seems to be SLI related

Got the same Problem. Since i applied to the new NVIDIA Patch and tried the SLI Profile i was surprised how good the SLI Profile would work...
But then after maybe a minute it starts to go crazy with the "Ghosting"

Tried all graphik options and as some says i also guess it is an AA and AO problem...

i switched back to play with 1 card but i really hope that they can fix this or somebody could help us with this problem...

There are also people who are playing the game in 4k with activated SLI.

    im using Win 7, 2600k @ 4.2GHz, 2x GTX 670 windforce 2Gb, 16 Gb RAM

Hopefully there is a solution to this as soon as possible.

    regards Tomme

    Hey all,

Personally haven't seen anything on our side about this yet. I'd recommend putting in a support ticket. The guys on that side might be able to give more information on this: http://support.ubisoft.com

    "Haven't seen anything yet"
I've seen this issue reported three times already today on this forum. Four including my own post with an image.
The release of this game has been a joke. Last time I pre-order anything from Ubisoft again. Full stop.

    SLI , AA and Issues

    I run FC4 v1.3.0 on 2 x 970's SLI with v344.75 drivers @ 5760 x 1080 (Nvidia surround)

    @ Ultra settings.

I have the same issues as described above. I have managed to narrow 2 issues down to AA.

    1. If i use any AA this eventually results in ghosting which looks like screen burn. It is pointless uploading a screenshot as it doesnt show it unless you are moving but it's identical to screen burn in old monitors if you leave a house or exit to the menu and back into the game- ANY AA results in this ghosting / screen burn effect in game.

    2. If i use TXAA 2/4 this results in the screen becoming blurry when using the camera/zoom (Z) key

TXAA - Stood still zoomed in.

SMAA - Stood still zoomed in.

I hope this helps resolve the issue

    Quick fix

I had the same problems with my 2 GTX 770's. I found its a problem with SMAA in Anti-Aliasing options. Switching it to 2xTXAA or something else solves the problem

Dark shadows and ghosting image fix for SLI on nvidia drivers 344.75

I saw a lot of peeps having similar trouble after the nvidia 344.75 driver dropped yesterday causing those running in SLI to have super dark shadows at night and severe ghosting of burned in textures. I did some tinkering to find a fix for both...I will test more as the texture issue can take time to happen. anyways you'll need nvidia inspector to do this.

    1. Open nvidia inspector, go to settings (next to driver version) and from profiles choose far cry 3
Under sli bits copy the to sli strings and paste them on a notepad. or i can be nice give them to you here:

    SLI compatibility bits (dx1x)
0x081902F5 (Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon DLC, Far Cry 3)
    SLI compatiblity bits
0x02402C05 (Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon DLC, Far Cry 3)

    2. Using nvidia inspector choose far cry 4 under profiles and paste the strings in their proper SLI bits line accordingly.

    3. Apply changes in upper right

    4. Play Far Cry 4 in SLI at night with the proper shadows.

UPDATE: I played the game for hours with no texture ghosting. Yea!!! Also I had to use V-sync to keep it buttery smooth, off I found it stuttered but this has been true for me since far cry 2 and the move to the then first iteration of the Dunia engine.
