For anyone having the 0xc0000005 error

I just fixed the issue with the game, I had no idea Uplay didn't automatically update games, you must restart Uplay atleast 2-3 times as there was atleast 3 patches released for FarCry4, just to make sure the game fully updates, then verify the game, it will completely install and now its installing the windows .NET update and the game should now work

Hope everybody see's this and sorts their game out

I just closed down Uplay and relaunched it, it will come up saying something like '' Looking for updates '' that's when it patches the game installation I'm sure

That is when it patches ubi launcher. If it patches the game you should know.

Can you check which version of the game you have? Mine is 1.01. There's only one patch as far as I know.

I tried the OP's suggestion. Restarted uplay about 15 times now. No updates to uplay, or FC4 by the looks of things.

I have no idea how to check the game version outside of being in the game itself.....which I can't do because I still get the "FarCry4.exe Application Error - The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." pop up.

If there are any other suggestions I'm all ears......if it's a reinstall/re-download though, It's gonna have to wait, I can't afford another 30gb download.....and nor should I have to really I don't think.

don't re-download. I tried this, didn't work. so don't waste your bandwidth. What we need is a direct link to a patch/file, that we can copy/paste INTO the farcry 4 folder & work from there.

That would be brilliant.....guess it's time to play the waiting game for now then.
