Guys, the error Far Cry 4 has stopped working has nothing to do with your PC or files. Ubisoft have confirmed there is a problem with the game as of the last patch where there is a major memory leak that is causing the crashes. A new patch is due to be released next week. Just avoid the game until the new patch arrives. Ubisoft at it again!

I too am getting a lot of random crashes all the time out of the blue. The most annoying thing for me is that I can't close the program down when it crashes, and force close doesn't work either so I'm forced to have to reboot. I'm not happy with the amount of crap I've had to put up with in this game when it comes to having random crashes and graphical glitches. II regret getting this game to be honest. I never thought it'd be such hard work to enjoy. It's time they got their their shiz together. C'mon! It's 2015!
Well, either the subsequent patches have failed to address the memory leak or it was not just that causing the random crashes.Originally Posted by o4wheelerd7 Go to original post
I am actually using Windows 7 64-Bit but am having the same issue. Sometimes I can play for well over an hour before I crash to a white or black screen, sometimes it's just 15-20 minutes. I am convinced this is a game code issue and not related to people's systems in most cases. My PC is high-end and well exceeds the recommended requirements. It's just extremely annoying and disappointing to be affected by this issue over 2 months after the game's release. Big things like this ought to have been sorted by this point, especially since they're trying to hawk paid DLC now, with significant game-affecting technical issues still looming; it is very poor form.
I can also confirm that closing MSI Afterburner fixed this issue for me!Originally Posted by One_Man_Hero Go to original post

I am also crashing to desktop and I've created a ticket, but 6 days later and I am still awaiting a response from support. What should we do next?
I dont know if the same issue happens here. I played Far Cry 4 for 10 hours. Today I received AMD Catalyst update of my GPU driver. After this the game even start on my PC. I remove the new driver, put the old again, but nothing happens.
Any idea why this error but I hope Ubisoft support helps me. A ticke was already logged.
