After repairing and redownloading and reinstalling the whole I could make it to the main menu. Tried to start a new offline campaign and...it crashed on the loading screen after doing half of the progress bar. Feels like you can do many things but play.
I did have problems with Far Cry 3 which actually I could never play for more than 1 or 2 hours at once. It was always crashing. Watchdogs...well... you remember how it started... Nearly nobody could play it for at least a week.
I had windows 8 an hour ago and couldn't launch the game fully. Upon launching it would display a window and I had to start task manager to cancel the not responding ubisoft program far cry 4 (crap ware). Ok, so I updated my video card, same issue. I tried launching it in windows 7 by redirecting the registry, same issue. I tried closing out of every program I had while running windows 7 and 8, same issue. I tried updating to windows 8.1, same issue. What he hell am I supposed to do?!?!? A shame ubisoft has their own crappy client, steam doesn't have this tendency....Thank you Ubisoft. I feel as though I have given you money for nothing. Like you stole it. Much appreciated. FIX THE GAME
Is this for real?! Did someone from Ubisoft REALLY respond like that?! IT IS THEIR FAULT I CANNOT PLAY THE GAME I PAYED FOR. This is obviously on the development side of the game.Originally Posted by JasonParadise Go to original post

This is preposterous and absolutely outrageous.
I am way above the minimum hardware requirements, and have tried EVERYTHING suggested on these ****ty forums, Steams forums, and reddit (USB unplug/HID disable/Reinstalling/Verifying Game Cache/Restarting computer/Compatibility mode/Run as Administrator) and it's all BS. The game should work regardless of what MOUSE AND KEYBOARD you have plugged in. I am furious and submitting a ticket will not make them get off their asses and FIX THIS CRAP.
Let me save your "guys and gals" the trouble and diagnose the problem for you: the problem is your buggy software. I think most people here would rather see the admission from Ubisoft that there are many bugs and that they're working hard to fix them as soon as possible.Originally Posted by JasonParadise Go to original post
I'm having the same problem with Win 7 64 bit. I have the discs, so I haven't tried to install via download, but that will be my third and final attempt at a clean install. Yesterday, the install stalled and locked up on MS .Net. Although I force quit the installer, Uplay had the game, verified and activated. However, I haven't been able to get into the game in less than 13 minutes from hitting "play".
Not only does it attempt to launch in windowed mode, but it locks up repeatedly during the loading process and often presents a black screen while I can still here music. Oddly, Alt-Tab-bing out and back in seems to shock it into progressing. When I finally get to the game start screen and try to launch, it locks up again. It doesn't matter if I try online or offline single player, it fails every time at the first event, telling me it can't contact the server. Second attempt usually launches the game. But always from scratch, since it doesn't seem to keep checkpoints or saves. When I get into the game finally and can adjust settings, it looks remarkable. There's a problem with the shadows for me staying on screen after moving at anything above High quality, but leaving that down, I can run everything at Ultra with 2x GTX 780 Ti's smoothly. Except for when it crashes. Also, after the opening cinematic, when I can explore, I collected all of the money, read the notes etc in the first room, butr couldn't get out. I found a door, but couldn't interact. I watched a youtube video of the first 24 minutes of gameplay - after alt tabbing out at the door - and saw that the door indded was where I was meant to go. When I alt-tabbed back, the door now asked me to hold X and move through. I did, but where the l"ittle monkey" was supposed to be strapped to the bed frame and being electrically tortured with flickering lights, there were 3 characters blithely standing there doing nothing. So the script is broken for me. I don't know if it's the install, but i'm trying again onto my main partition to see if that makes a difference. However, I've now been installing MS .Net for 2.5hrs.....I planned my holidays around ACU and FC4. Looking forward to Ubi products is like looking forward to marrying a woman without orifii. Or, for women, a man without a ***** or tongue. Nothing but frustration, plus a feeling you've only got yourself to blame for making a poor choice when you should've known better, based on the evidence
i am putting myself in line here
on Win7 64Bit, the very same, doesnt matter on Campain, / Online / Offline / MP always the same at 65 - 80 % the loading screen stops and the game is unresponsive and has to be nuked down with the task manager.
I wrote to https://support.ubi.com/en-us/ first. but thats i the major joke.
after 14 days they replied that they dont understand what problem i am having and i should describe as good as possible.
it really was they didnt even read what i wrote at all, it seems like a default reply for all people to win over some time.
So i explained everything AGAIN, and waiting for a response to this one now as well since 7 days.
I even went so far to made a clean Win7 install, just some important programs, Origin, Steam, Uplay on it and still nothing works.
OMG, PREPOSTEROUS, LUDICROUS, UNBELIEVABLE, UNPLAYABLE, NEVER AGAIN, LOST MY BUSINESS FOR LIFE...
Do you guys really think you're making a difference? This doesn't help... If I were in the developers' shoes reading this, I would slowly care less and less making games, let alone solutions, for this kind of community...
Anyway...
I joined this forum to get a little help with my copy of Far Cry 4 on my system as I am having some intermittent crashes using SLI, although no problems when running a single card.
I hope you guys, Ubisoft, can resolve that issue soon. I made a support ticket but I got a copy and paste response with several possible solutions with one of them being to disable SLI.
I would prefer to play the game at the highest settings available. I think you guys made the game look great but on a 144hz 1440p monitor, I need more than just one GTX 980 to run it between 60-144 fps on average.
Since I can't get help using your support system, Ubisoft, maybe you could help me here.
