Far Cry 4 doesn't start, Ubi Support Ticket not going through

I'm having the same issue a lot of others are having where the game's logo comes up, but then a black screen comes up and it's not responding. I tried to submit a question on Ubi support, but when I submit it, it doesn't process it (Question History is blank).

I preordered the game and preloaded it, the Day 1 patch is installed, but the issue persists. I've tried restarting the game, restarting as admin, restarting my computer, looking for a repair install, the list goes on and nothing changes. I've seen others have solved the problem by not using USB devices, but all my peripherals are USB, and I have no replacements.

    GeForce GTX 770
AMD Phenom II x4 945 Processor
8.00 GB RAM (8.00 GB usable)
    1680 x 1050, 59 Hz
    Driver Version: 344.65
    Windows 7

    Peripherals:
    -Razer Naga Hex
    -Razer Deathstalker Ultimate Gaming Keyboard
    -Dreamgear Elite Gaming Headset

I've the same black screen problem but I've no game controllers and nothing other than basic keyboard/mouse in HID and even tried disconnecting everything on USB. Made no difference. I filed tech question and had same not-filed issue - did it again and noticed you have to click 'submit question' below after you appear to have submitted the query, although at this stage I'm pretty sure they're aware of the problem.

    Far Cry 4 not starting

I'm having the same issue with Far Cry 4 not starting, I double click on the desktop Icon, Uplay starts, the Far Cry 4 window opens then the screen goes black and thats that. Nothing else happens, I've updated my graphics card drivers, I've tried:

    1. running directly from Uplay,
    2. running directly from icon in installation folder,
    3. running as administrator
    4. running from the Nvidia Experience window

The patch was apparently installed on my first attempt, but now I can't see how to down load it to re-install.

    Any ideas?

Sorry to hear this is happening. If possible, please check that all drivers are up to date as well as requirements were met. Upon reinstalling the game, it should be updated automatically. However, I ask you to submit a ticket to support with your msinfo and dxdiag. Please use the proper subject line when submitting your ticket. Please check for any USB devices that are not in use as well as unplugging any potential gaming mouse or keyboard to see if it affects the game launch.

The day 1 patch should be pushed automatically when updating the game for the first time. If you purchased on steam, it should also be pushed through the steam client as there is not a directly link. Please try verifying the game files before attempting to launch the game to see if it helps. Again, if you are unable to do so, please submit a ticket to Support with as much info as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience. Be sure to submit a ticket to Support as soon as possible.

Same problem, after game lauch window opens and black screen appears

I have the same problem with the black screen after launching the game. The FarCry4 window opens, but then nothing happens except having a black screen and the task manager is saying that FC4 gives no response.

I have AMD Phemom II X4 965 Processor and a GTX 470 graphics card, so it is above the minimum recommended. And the drivers are up to date.

    Same Issue

I also have the same problem, i open a support ticket in "ask a question" this morning and still no nearer to fixing. I had the update the first time i installed but have since uninstalled and reinstalled about 3-4 times today. tried unplugging all USB devices which kind of makes it hard to launch the game when your peripherals run on USB. All my drivers are up to date and have even had a graphics driver update within the past 2-3 hours. I think that paying £40 for a black windowed screen is a bit poor really. I just want what I paid for,

Isn't it about time Ubisoft sorted out there technical support, I have had similar problems with other games and had them sorted and working within the hour, this has been nearly a full day. It's a joke. Is there seriously no other way to force patch a game via Uplay which I might add has been nothing but a problem since day 1.

PC Specs: Intel Pentium G3258 @4.2Ghz, Zotac Nvidia GTX 760 2GB OC AMP! Edition, 16GB Kingston Hyper X Beast, Kingston 120GB SataIII SSD, Toshiba 200GB Sata II HDD, MSI Z97I Gaming AC.

Same thing with me, I looked in the readme file and it said it was at v1.00. That said, I don't know if the patch also updated the readme to the correct version (I heard somewhere it was supposed to be v1.20) so I don't know if that's the problem. I'm reinstalling to see if that works, Steam cache verification didn't show up anything though.

Kind of annoying, made worse because everyone I know who has it working says it's really good.

EDIT: Yeah, still says v1.00 and crashes on startup. I doubted that was the problem anyway.
